Well, most of you have seen it...the Season Five finale...
Welcome to the hiatus...
(Spoilers)
Like you didn't know...
Starlight Glimmer...was the finest villain ever created. Bar none.
She was a thinker. Schemer. Plotter.
She didn't "...you goodie, me baddie..." like all the other antagonists did. She got beat; beat bad. Lost everything.
So...she tracked Twilight Sparkle. Observed her. Discovered her strengths, and her weaknesses. Found the weapon she needed to beat her. Planned out all the contigencies. And when she found the weak point, she executed her plan...
And neatly stoppered up an ALICORN in a glass bottle, then tossed it into a very deep lake.
She won.
No matter what Twilight did, Starlight countered it. Every time. A Unicorn. Beat. The Princess of Friendship.
Now, Starlight did lose when Twilight showed her the Wasteland. The one thing that stopped her.
Twilight used 'Lecture'. It was SUPER EFFECTIVE!!
But rather than the "friendship" salvation, I would have much more preferred Starlight Glimmer looking Twilight straight in the eyes, and say...
"...this isn't over between us..."
*shudder*
Before she re-established the normal timeline.
Starlight Glimmer was Blofeld to Twilight's Bond. And she should have had a couple more runs at Twilight before the "friendship" save.
Well, it's canon now. "The End of Starlight Glimmer" is alternate timeline. That's okay. I just wish Starlight had another couple runs at Twilight...
