Time for a little controversy...
Glimglam...
Love her or hate her, Starlight Glimmer is the flava of the year in S7. The Hasbro Mary Sue, some say...others, the emotionally damaged creature reaching for acceptance...
When I wrote "The End of Starlight Glimmer", little did I know the final confrontation between Glimglam and Bug Queen was going to be a thing...after all, the two part "The Cutie Map" episodes had aired, and I wanted to close her out paying the ultimate price for her abuse of authority and subjugation of others...and Queen Chrysalis is PERFECT for that...
Then comes Friendship...(Honestly, that EPIC fight and philosophical discussion was very satisfying). And Glimglam is moving into Twi's Castle.
Huh. I did not see that coming. Really. Totally out of right field.
Friendship training begins. And a certain blue Unicorn comes roaring back.
Okay. That was...unexpected.
Shipping fuel aside, Trix being fleshed out as a REAL pony, with needs, failures, wants, triumphs, all the things a character is...and that moment with her in the cannon...
Waitaminute...is she committing SUICIDE???
Damn. I'm used to Ponies throwing gentle change-ups. When did they pick up a nasty wicked slider??
