Signal Boost: "Indivisible" - Awesome Hand-Drawn RPG! · 11:52pm Nov 29th, 2015
Hey folks! Just a disclaimer in case you are/are not interested in non-pony things. This is a post about a crowdfunded video game that I'm supporting. If that's not your cup of tea, you don't have to read. I won't be offended. 
If you like awesome and original video games, then read on! 
So, one of my favorite games is "Skullgirls," an indie fighting game with hand-drawn animation, a player-friendly engine, and really fun animation. The developer, LabZero, was supportive of Mane 6 back before they even started "Them's Fightin' Herds." And now they're making a Metroid-vania style RPG called Indivisible.
Well, the game is getting oh so tantalizingly close to making its goal after an extended deadline, but they've got less than a week to go and they need a final push to make it all the way. The plot follows a female protagonist (and I know you like strong female protagonists or why would you be in this fandom?), a young girl who is able to call forth other warriors called "incarnations" and have them fight alongside her, each with their own stats and fighting styles and characteristics and backstories. And there are a lot.
Not enough? How about some crossover characters from some other games. Shovel Knight? Shantae: Half-Genie Hero? Yep, they're just two of eight. Also, their playable prototype is on Steam. Also, if you contribute, their publisher, 505, will give you some free games (if this makes funding). Details:
Need more? The game has music by Hiroki Kikuta. Don't know him? Ever play "Secret of Mana?" Yep, that's the guy who did that music.
Bottom line, this game looks great and I would really like to see it get made. But if it doesn't make its goal on Friday, then that won't happen. If you're not sure about it, go play the free prototype. Don't have time? Then watch the Game Grumps play it!
