The great pony/anthro/human debate · 10:29pm Nov 29th, 2015
I'm just writing this blog now to clarify something. I will probably only write Anthro/Human clop stories here for a simple reason: I prefer the 2 legged humanoid form more than the pony form. Usually using Anthro if I feel people might get offended if I were to suggest humans would be like how I am going to depict the characters in this story. With that said, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy reading pony clopfics stories myself, I just wouldn't be one to write them.
I've seen a lot of users in the comments of various stories ranting about how X story is Anthro or Human, the writer must not be skilled enough to write in a style based around a four legged pony having sex instead of a human. I've looked into this, and there's actually very little I would have to do in order to 'convert' an Anthro/Human story over to a pony one.
Just off the top of my head there's changing the word hand to hooves, you can pretty much use hoofs in the same manner seeing as hoof jobs are a thing. Change words like mouth to muzzle, boobs to teats, a few mentions of the tail, add some winking in there, make sure you use the word 'everypony' instead of 'everyone', that one is important apparently.
And I wasn't lying when I said these were the very first stories I've written. I didn't have any experience writing human or pony.
I use Anthro as well, and the reason is simple. I simply can't visualize real ponies doing a fraction of the stuff I like to put in my stories. Maybe that's my lacking. I think it's because I have a good imagination.
You see my pet peeve is that so many purists seem to enjoy stories where the ponies are being contorted into positions that simply would not be possible for a four legged animal and they are okay with that.
Heck, I've read stories where they talk about tying the characters front legs behind her back!
