While I am a very honest, loyal, and trusting man IRL, some of the friends I've made here aren't.
I won't name names, but one 'fan' of mine is up to six accounts I know of, just to stalk me and exploit my skills as a writer.
As a result, don't take it personally if I don't trust any of you right away anymore if your account is less that six months old, since this other user is creating accounts every so often to 'friend', follow me, then get me and then try to give thoughts an opinions on them self and other versions of their self. Also to get into my stories to fulfill their desire to be liked more.
That also applies to many of the users I consider close friends here, since this one user had used the other accounts to become closer to me, and gain my trust only to give me distrust across the site.
I mean nothing personally and am not mad or upset, just hurt at being lied to be one person that turned out to be several that I've found so far.
A bad example of the fandom, but not the typical.

I think that your misstrust is rational and thus normal in this case, as pons like that really do get on one's nerve

Tracking my to find me IRL, my address, phone number, youtube account; the comments, the jokes at my career, the pestering for attention, constantly.
If I was ten years younger I'd have freaked out and left the fandom out of fear. Now, I don't care as much, but it still hurts.

Not worth it. Spoiled rich kid it sounds like, plus even though they gave me their address several times as 'motivation' to give mine up, I was having no part in their weird fantasies. Plus they're underage, so I'd get in trouble, I'm certain, for their obsession.

It's only been since March they started here, so any accounts from April on I'm concerned about. Sort of. Some red flags are easy to spot, so those are the ones I look for.

I follow myself (not purposely) on an alt account just because I forget what the alt is called. I never consider it a proper follow. Say if I get 300 followers, in my mind I'll only have 299.
