Those three I promised for Halloween?
They are looking less and less likely, I'm afraid.
Now, I'm not ruling them out entirely - I have still got some time before the month ends, and I'm actually going to use that time to write. But I'd brace yourself for one story, not three.
Sorry.
On the plus side, I did complete my other goal - getting back into writing (and editing as well). The reason the stories aren't coming out is not that I didn't write anything, it's that what I wrote was shit - still a marked improvement over doing absolutely fuck all. Of the three that I teased in my last blog post, I'm probably going to work on the "Heard Somebody Cry" story, as it's the one with the most complete narrative and outline. The other ideas, I'll save for next Halloween - and there are two more ones I can add to the list as well. But once Halloween is over - well, then I don't have to try and force these specific, Halloween ideas any more. So expect to see some writing from me in the run up to Christmas.
In other news: I went to London Comic Con! Woohoo!
I've never been to a convention before, and it was awesome. I got to meet Boba Fett, the cosplays were ridiculously good and I finally, finally got some pony stash.
Honestly some of the stuff I got from other series I like was much better quality, but I don't care because AHHH I HAVE MY OWN MINIATURE APPLEBLOOM AND OCTAVIA AND S1 LUNA AND SHADOWBOLT DASH AND AHHHHHHH

Hope there wasn't a huge “con tax” on RD as the Shadowbolt. In the states, Toys-R-Us has been liquidating their new-old stock of them and they have a dust covered ton. But given that I paid full price when they originally came out… I gotta get that other set just for the un-decorated DJ and Doctor.

Quality over quantity, I say; especially when it comes to Fanfic, better the work you put out should meet your own personal standards than that you rush it out in the hopes of simply Doing More, and the fact that you got your own juices flowing is, in the end, a pretty significant achievement unto itself, IMO. So while I accept your apology, please, don't feel overly-guilty here. To me, it sounds like you made the right calls all around. ^_^
Also, hey, glad the 'Con was a blast! Looks like you got some sweet swag t'boot, too. 8D Also, on an only-kind-of-related note, I want a 'fic about that adorable hedgehog plush going to Equestria; literally everything else under the sun has at this point, so why not, right? 8D
