    Story update and other stuff

Believe it or not I've actually started a new job at long last. I'd only planned on staying with my last employer six months, but ended up being stuck there for nearly five years. During my time there I had to put up with some of the worst bigotry I've ever encountered, despite the company claiming to be 'inclusive, supportive of diversity, etc'. Spoiler alert : They weren't!

    Story Update

Now on page 280 of Bon Bon's story. Looking good so far, but quite a technical challenge as she's been involved in other parts of the Fairlight story arc and I need to be careful tying it all together. I'm also aware that I will need to incorporate Lyra's story into it too.

    Continuing on

Despite one of the readers claiming that they had felt like vomiting after reading my last story, I have pressed on with my scribblings. Apparently eliciting a physical and -or- an emotional response from a story is considered a good thing. Or so I'm told.

Ice Fall Update · 7:13am Oct 28th, 2015

306 pages done so far, but that's without editing of course. Some poor buggers going to have to sort that mess out for me before the 'apostrophe police' catch up with me :derpytongue2:

So far the story has had several running arcs with the intended central one becoming, strangely, 'not so central' after all which was a surprise. It may sound strange, but i find that when i write, the story really does find its own course, as indeed do the characters. Last night, i took a break from writing to watch something on youtube (Conan the Barbarian of all things!) and suddenly had a flash of inspiration for a new and exciting plot point. Strangely, it had nothing at all to do with the film, but quickly the film was stopped and my writing notes updated with the latest ideas.

This book is going to be a lot bigger than WTSM by the looks of it, and includes a lot more characters. Many are new, some, others will recognise from WTSM and the Fairlight books. It is going to be quite an emotional roller coaster for some readers, and indeed, i've found myself blubbing a little while i've been writing it, but then that could just be me! If adventure, battles, romance, betrayals and hijinks are your bag, i think you're in for a treat.

Anyway, i wish i could stop here and do more writing but the wonder world of licensing awaits. What can i say? It pays the bills, just.

Mind you, i'll console myself with the thought that although i've got to go to work now, and i'll be home in around eight hours...:twilightoops:
