It draws Near...

Soon I will be releasing the first chapter for my story The Smiling Stallion. Better get those 8-sided dice ready.

So I decided to discuss a few things.

Chapter Release Schedule

My goal will be to release a chapter each month, however this will only happen if I manage to have the chapter for that month ready. If that doesn't happen it may take longer, but I can assure that at this point in time the first three chapters are ready to go.

If you want me to be technical I would say the first four chapters, however seeing as I released the chapter Preparations as a sneak preview on Deviant Art I kind of consider that chapter a prologue chapter. Speaking of the Preparations chapter I will try to release that chapter early just to make sure my story get approval in time for Halloween (I am sure the admins will be busy). So basically you all will be getting two chapters this month.

I will post the final story image (which has changed multiple times since this story started) on Deviant Art for my deviant followers to be able to access once the first official chapter is released on Nightmare Night.

Future Plans

Just thought you all might want to know that there are plans for a sequel in the mix. Now I haven't started writing down chapter for it yet (since I am still working hard on The Smiling Stallion's current chapters) but I do have a few ideas and there is some information I am willing to give away ahead of time.

First the Smiling Stallion 2 (or part 2 or whatever I decide to call it in the future) will be on a grander scale. While the first story takes place in a cabin in the woods the second story will encompass a while town. Furthermore it will require a ten sided dice instead of an eight sided dice.

Can't say much for the monsters except for the fact that most (if not all of them) will be new additions to the series and the extraterrestrials and perhaps some vamponies will be joining their ranks.

Also only one of the Mane 6 will be returning in part 2. As a result most of the victims... *oops* I mean characters will be a few background ponies and a few OCs. Now originally I was just going to pick one of the Mane 6 for part 2 but then I thought:

"How much fun would it be if the fans of the first story got to vote on which one of the mane 6 returned in part 2?"

So in the future I will be posting a poll (somehow) that will allow people to vote on which member of the Mane 6 they would like to see come back in part 2 (probably closer to when the Smiling Stallion nears completion).

How far do you plan to take this?

Originally the first story was going to be the only story, however I have since come to the conclusion that I might try to make the Smiling Stallion into a trilogy.
