Episode 109, Five Years Later. · 8:48pm Oct 10th, 2015
I can't say I've been waiting five years for this day, since I've only been a part of the herd since summer 2014, but I still felt it. This episode was full of triumph.
Spoilers below the break. Turn away if you haven't seen the episode.
(anypony mind telling me how to put in break in a blog post? I noticed in my feed that some bloggers can hide spoilers below a 'read more' curtain.)
This episode had a lot. I ended up watching it three times in a row, always with a goofy grin on my face. I spoiled myself of the episode's contents when I was at work, but I didn't know it was a musical. I'm a real sucker for musicals, so this episode has easily hit my top five spot. It can fight against Pinkie's Pride for second place, while Magical Mystery Cure remains number one(/controversial).
As I said, the episode was full of triumph. I mean, the CMC's cutie marks is the embodiment of their friendship. How special is that?
The last song itself really hit it home. The pride their sisters showed them with. The prospect that this was only a new beginning for them. Those three fillies found their mark, and now they'll make their mark on Equestria.
I really hope to see more of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon as friends of the CMC. And of course, I'm looking forward to more of the CMC's adventures through life.
This episode is the winner of the fifth season. In my book anyway. Still holding out for the finale though, I suspect it'll be a game changer.
For Trioverse Fans, I'll have a blog post later for some news I have in store.
I'm just going to copy/paste what I said in the Diamond Cutters group.

Yeah... I'm on that boat as well, minus that last part. Sure, Diamond Tiara is better now, but it wasn't really a good episode. But what do I know, right?
3459194 I can see the episodes flaws. Still, to me, the episode feels great, and I tend to overlook flaws when the feels hit.
