The League of Extraordinary Gentlecolts
Nihil est ut videtur!
Good day, ladies and gentlemen of Friendship is Magic Fiction (or FIMFic). As you are no doubt aware, myself and a fellowship of several of the fandoms best authors, both famous and unknown, have played a prank on you. How I was included into this number is a mystery to me, currently, but it is funny how NONE of you were any the wiser until we DELIBERATELY started dropping hints.
Now, many of you are probably asking yourselves just what possessed me to take part in this deception. To put it the most succinct of terms; I did it for the lolz. If you are looking for a more elaborate and detailed answer, then look no further. In short, I did it because I thought it would be an interesting experience, open the door to new friends, and get me off of my flank to actually do something after the conclusion of For Want of a Dawn.
By now, you must have realized that I did not write The Cellar, so who on Celestia’s green Earth did? Well, the answer to that is this guy:
His name is Fenix, he likes long walks on the beach, getting caught in the rain, and tequila. He is also the mastermind behind a Pokemon crossover called Hoenshy. You don’t need to know diddly squat about Pokemon in order to enjoy it, but most of us here have probably been exposed to the first generation stuff at the least. Give it a try, you might be pleasantly surprised!
No, really. Do it NOW or I’ll send you to the moon so fast...
Anyway, when we were partnered within the league, we agreed that our stories had to follow a specific prompt in addition to an overall theme for all league stories. We agreed to do a ‘classic horror’ story where [Redacted]. Therefore, my ACTUAL story is a little thing I call Shadow Over Ponyville.
Give that a read too.
So, I hope you all enjoyed this little bought of fun and excitement because it might be the last you’ll see from me for a bit. Sadly, I really need to get focused on job hunting, so the story machine will be grinding to a halt until things get settled. Maybe for a couple of weeks, but hopefully no more than a month. Then, I will get onto my next fic tentatively (meaning just for now) called Living the Dream.
Cordially yours,
~Ciroton.
....I actually never read the cellar. It didn't seem like your type of story (I think you gravitate to somewhat happy endings, Sunset etc. so I was a bit unsure about the tragedy) and the ratings were not so good so I kinda took the cellar for a misstep into the wrong genre.
Is it any good?
you and the rest of the league are all AWESOME!
this really made my day!
Interesting stuff goin' on!
I was wondering what that little watermark on your profile avatar was!
Definitely a neat experiment. Honestly, I can't help but feel that the only reason Rites got as popular as it did was because I had a couple of popular editors plugging it. While I'm very grateful to my fans, I also can't help but wonder if there are better ways to help promote lesser-known authors with good stuff. It's definitely a needed function, I'm just not sure how to do it.

Meh, long pants with implosions made a better post about this dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Lyra_dealwithit.png
273372 About the same for me. I have seen that LOEG symbol in a couple of user icons/images/avatar things.
Therefore, all I can say on this is well played.
