2020 Update · 2:40pm Aug 24th, 2020
I know I said last time that I would have Chapter 3 up for you by Halloween/New Years, but one of my aunts fell really ill in mid-October and lost her second battle with Cancer in late November, so for a long time now I just haven't been in the mood to write with Chapter 3 nearly completed.
During this pause, however, I have come to a decision. The Stars That Come at Twilight will likely be my LAST pony fan fiction; my magnum opus or so I hope. I just haven't been as involved in this community as I was back in the day. Heck, I still haven't seen any episodes beyond... A Flurry of Emotions(Season 7 Episode 3) if I recall correctly. And so, I have come to the conclusion that, well, when Come at Twilight is finished with it's 20ish chapters I will probably gracefully step away from the fandom completely. I might come back to write smaller stories that I have had plans for ages, but I don't want to do any more epics.
Rest assured, I WILL FINISH this current story. The outline is there so I don't have to BS anything; it's all about filling in blanks and minor moments with actual content. I will give no timelines as I am self-editing which requires time/distance and my proofreader/former editor 'BrotherPrickle' is under the thumb of Amazon and hence she's been extremely busy in light of the pandemic. Also, when Chapter 3 is published, I'll probably submit this to Equestria Daily as a way of committing myself to actually doing things with this regularly.
This is not yet the time for goodbyes though; there is still a long way to go and I hope this serves as the ending that the Sunset Saga deserves! Regardless, thank you all for reading. I would have stopped long, long ago without your support and critique!

As for the story I am glad to hear that you still plan to finish it.
Somehow Sunset is the first Fanfic I have ever read and has stuck with me to this day. (Started reading it back before it was even finished on some other website that I forget the name of...)
Anyway. I hope things get better and I can't wait for this story. Hope when its done you continue to do things you enjoy.
