Animated Films Worth Checking Out:
In this journal entry, I will list all of the animation films I have watched over the years up to the present date by either the animation company responsible, the independent creators, or the company they were distributed by. The reason I have broken things up this way is that there are individual creators who make their own animations and then distribute them through established companies. For this reason, you might seem some titles list twice under both categories to give credit where they are due.
I did add some animated series to the mix if they were part of a movie franchise, as in the case with the Aladdin animated television series. This is because the stories tie into the plots of other films, or help to support the events that take place in those films.
I hope that you will discover some great films by looking through this. You of course are not required to watch all of them. Not everyone has no life like me. But it is just a handy list for those who are looking for an animation film to watch.
I also included a list of animated films to avoid because they are either really boring, have mediocre animation, or have poorly executed plots. Or heaven forbid, have all THREE of these things. Free Birds; I'm looking at you.

Have you seen The Last Unicorn? It's an older film that I only watched for the first time last week, but I quite enjoyed it (except for the annoying butterfly).

3438493 The Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs films are on the skip list because they are nothing like the books and in fact do the books a disservice.
I didn't care for either of the Happy Feet movies, especially since the concept was already done in a similar animated film franchise. But I do admit that they both have a kind of charm.
3438518 Well, the Cloudy movies may not be like the books, but that doesn't make them bad movies. Look at Harry Potter. Silence of the Lambs. Relic. Jurassic Park. Dracula. Frankenstein. Every version of The Three Musketeers. Every Stephen King book ever made into a film. Accuracy or inaccuracy to the source material doesn't guarantee the movie's quality or lack of it.
And I personally think Happy Feet is one of the greatest animated films of all time.
But that's just me. If you feel differently, that's fine.
3438580 Yeah, I don't mind if they do good by changing things in the movies. But I don't feel that the Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatball movies were anything particularly special. And the idea of food coming alive in the second movie seriously weirded me out. But I might take these movies and Happy Feet off of the list as they do have a certain amount of charm to them, despite their flaws.

3438812 naw, you didn't. I was kind of on the fence about them, to be honest. I mean, they aren't the best animated films ever but they do have a certain amount of charm to them in their own right. So I figured I'd put them with the other good films.
How I enjoyed this movie, and how I loved hearing this song.
