BIG Update! · 12:46am Sep 24th, 2015
Hello, all.
How is everybody doing today? I got stranded at the supermarket when my car wouldn't start; thankfully, I always keep a set of jumper cables in my trunk. But I digress.
Not infuriating at all.
Through a series of extenuating circumstances, the next chapters of both Under A Silver Moon and Dismay have been finished this week! So I intend to update both stories this weekend sometime around noon. Probably on Friday or Sunday.
For those of you that don't know, Under A Silver Moon is a murder-mystery starring Luna and Discord, and Dismay is a (very) loose adaptation of Bioshock Infinite and a prequel to Twilight's Inferno.
On the personal side of things, I've been drawn out of my self-imposed exile from editing/pre-reading, with a couple of very exciting new projects.
Firstly, Carabas has asked me to lend a hand with his most recent story: Noctivagant. The story's about Luna discovering a malevolent oneiromancer (dream walker) running amok in the dreams of her ponies. Carabas is one of the best world-builders on this site, and the last time I had the opportunity to work with him was on Motion of the Stars, a hauntingly beautiful tour through an Equestria ravaged by war. It only has one chapter published so far, but I think that this will definitely be a story to follow.
The second project I've been invited to work on, is by PaulAsaran. Now this project is as yet unpublished, and it's . . . I'm not sure how to describe it, really. Asaran is the literary equivalent of the guy threw a wire between the Twin Towers and walked across for the hell of it. That is to say, he doesn't do anything by half. The last project that I worked on with Asaran was Twilight's Inferno (linked above), which was a ponified adaptation of Dante's Inferno and a masterpiece of evocative writing of such magnitude that it gave me nightmares. This new project is going to be loosely based on the Silent Hill video game series, but I can't say much more than that at this time. Suffice to say, it's going to be grimdark. really grimdark.
I'm very excited for what the future holds, and I'll try to keep you all posted as things progress.
Cheers!
