My Little Noire, or something resembling it (Episode Review) · 10:40pm Sep 19th, 2015
Here's a question: what do you do when you're a Wonderbolt legend with all the fame and fortune you could ever want, and you're confronted by a pegasus who isn't even a full Wonderbolt yet?
The answer? Frame that pegasus for trying to sabotage the Wonderbolt event just because you think she's going to beat your decades-old record!
I will say this: the animation and music are both excellent, and I mean much more excellent than usual. Some stuff made me laugh, like the interrogation of the guard ponies.
But if I had to accurately sum up this episode with one word, it'd probably be something like this:
I mean, for fuck's sake, this plot is absurd even by My Little Pony standards. Why would Wind Rider send Spitfire away and then frame Rainbow Dash? If he managed to get away with it, the Wonderbolts would then have a missing member and NO RESERVES. What the fuck is that supposed to accomplish?
Also, does it really not occur to any of these morons that Rainbow Dash is basically the ULTIMATE SYMBOL OF LOYALTY? That despite even her dumbest moments, she would NEVER stoop so low as to deliberately send away a member of her team just so she could get to fly with some asshole celebrity pegasus?
...
So what we end up with, is a painful ponified version of L.A. Noire:
Starring none other than everyone's favorite annoying drama queen, Brex! Rarity!
Whoop-de-fucking-do.
5/10
Oh, whoops, I forgot there was a new episode today.
