Mary Poppins sequel in the works, to be directed by Rob Marshall (Into the Woods, Chicago) · 3:51am Sep 15th, 2015
Suffice to say I am not taking this new well.
We do not need a Mary Poppins sequel, much less one directed by the guy who gave us Nine and Into the Woods. And really, as much as I liked Chicago (no really that movie is awesome), I have a sneaking suspicion that Marshall's directing style won't mesh with Mary Poppins, even if it is supposedly set 20+ years after the original.
But enough about my nitpicks, what about you guys?
I hate Marry Poppins.
Honestly that video says it all. I'd be fine with a sequel that's from recent years or has sequels before. But to do a sequel for a movie fifty years, After, it came out is too much for anyone. I'm fine with Star Wars movie that's coming soon because they can still get the actors from the original for it. But Mary poppins is perfectly fine without the sequel.
3394547 well then you must be great at partys
What does your hatred of Mary Poppins have to do with news of a sequel?
Abso-fucking-nothing.
3394921 You asked what we thought of a sequel. I hate Mary Poppins, therefore I automatically hate the sequel.

Fine.
3394547 Interesting. Why?
3395014 I can't really give you a straight answer- its been forever since I've seen it. But I think the main reason is my brother. He would never stop singing that stupid "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" song, and it kinda just spoiled the entire movie for me. I was so sick of hearing it.
3395037 Ah, I see.
