Let me tell you a story, It is a story of Automatic updates.
Windows forces them on me every so often. I can't say know, I have to take them. I can either restart my computer myself, or my laptop does it for me.
I usually take the first option... Accept this time something fucked up hardcore.
The computer crashed mid-update and I had to hard reset. This caused my Wireless card's driver program to become corrupted. To put that in layman's terms: Corrupted Driver = Internet No Worky. No problems. I just need to get a new Driver. You know where to get those?
ONLINE!!!
My brother had to find out what driver I was using, install it on his computer, move it to an external hard drive, move it to MY comp, and reinstall it. This whole bullshit process took about an HOUR and it sucked up my writing time, not to mention a piece of my soul.
So MLP:IHTB and all other commitments are delayed by a day, I need to sleep, I need to remember that life is not strictly madness, and I need to continue causing heinous pain to this HP technician.
I have children!!!
Well you should have thought of them before you made the updates mandatory, shouldn't you?
I had to deal with that "automatic restart" bullshit yesterday. It holds my browsers hostage, and acts as if I'm some fucking idiot who can't hold down a power button for ten seconds.
