    Ten Years of Doctor Perseus

Today marks the tenth anniversary of me creating my account here on FIMFiction. It feels incredibly surreal to type that out. Sometimes it almost feels like yesterday when I was a bright-eyed Brony entering the world of MLP fanfiction for the first time. And sometimes it feels like another lifetime ago.

10 Years After My First Fanfic/My Thoughts on Recent MLP & Doctor Who Content

Hello, everybody! It has certainly been a minute since my last blog post. Like I have said in the past, I am not on here as often as I used to be but I certainly try my best to check on my account whenever I can. In all honesty, I was planning on waiting to write out a blog like this until the tenth anniversary of my FIMFiction account. While I still plan on doing that, I was inspired to write

The 10th Anniversary of Friendship is Magic's Premiere

I know I'm not as active here as I used to be but I felt that I had to at least make a little comment here about Friendship is Magic officially beginning its journey into ten-year status. I can't believe it's been ten years since Friendship is Magic started. Heck, I can't believe it's already been a year since the series ended. Does make me wish that we could have gotten a tenth season in order

What Could Have Been: Doctor Whooves Seasons 3&4

Told ya the wait wouldn't be long. Anyway, here I am to FINALLY close the book on Doctor Whooves once and for all by laying out the rest of what I had planned out for Doctor Whooves. Unlike with Season 2, I'm just going to keep my plans for Seasons 3 and 4 in one blog as I hadn't planned everything out in as much detail as I did the arcs of Season 2. But, still, there is plenty of content to

What Could Have Been: Doctor Whooves Season 2, Arc 3

Yeah...sorry for the long wait on this one. I really have no excuse for taking this long to get around to finally uploading the rest of my plans for what I originally had in store for my Doctor Whooves fanfic series. But I'm here now, for those of you who are still interested in learning about the future I originally had planned for a series I ended well over two years ago. Better being SUPER

Update on Doctor Whooves and the Doctor Whooves Chronicles · 9:18pm Sep 4th, 2015

Hello, followers. This is just an update on my plans for both Doctor Whooves and The Doctor Whooves Chronicles. I'm going to start off talking about DWC as that's the negative piece of news I have.

Back in April, I posted a blog asking you, my DW followers, about what you would think about me potentially cancelling DWC. A lot of you gave positive feedback pertaining to me continuing it. But, since then, I've thought about it in great length and...ugh...it pains me to say it but I think I'm going to put a close on that series.

As I've said many times before whenever I've gone and cancelled a story, I'm really sorry and I absolutely HATE doing it. But, at this point, I have absolutely no drive of returning to that series. And, quite frankly, I have a lot more fun writing my zany, crazy, complex, dark/light main DW series. And, if you can remember from when I posted the episode list for that series, you know that I've set up quite a project for myself with that series alone. I've just recently come out of a writing funk when it came to that series. I can't believe it took me over a year to finish one episode from that series. School and work were definite factors but I have to confess that a large contributor was procrastination. Terrible, terrible, terrible procrastination. But, now, I'm thinking about that series more. I have so many exciting ideas for it that I can't wait to write and I hope I can continue entertaining you all with. But, as for DWC, I just don't have the drive anymore. I can remember why I started it but, at this point, I wish I never did. It only distracted me from my main series and, in the end, it led to an incomplete series. Again, I'm sorry to those of you who followed that series but I just don't care to continue it anymore. If anyone out there wants to take a shot at it then be my guest. Continue the story. Take some inspiration from the episode list I made for that series. Do what you want.

But, on a more optimistic note, I won't completely shut out the possibility of me returning to it. I could gain some inspiration to return to it at some point in the future but, as of now, that's unlikely. I thank all who followed those stories and enjoyed them and I'm sorry to disappoint you. But I promise that I will most definitely never cancel my main DW series. Never. That's the series I have the energy, inspiration, and fire for. That's the series I'm going to stick with until the end. I promise.

Now, onto the more positive piece of news I have. Since it's been a while since I gave you all an episode list, I've decided to give you an updated version as well as some information pertaining to "Season 2". First, here's the updated list for Season 2:

Episode 24: The Writer
Episode 25: The Fiction Invasion
Episode 26: The Grudge Box
Episode 27: Game of Ponds
Episode 28: Geronimo
Episode 29: The Honeymoon Horror
Episode 30: Memory
Episode 31: Welcome to Storybrooke
Episode 32: Town of Silence
Episode 33: Heart of the Damned
Episode 34: A Griffonstone Ghost Story
Episode 35: Hat Trick
Episode 36: The Good Clone
Episode 37: A Cold Day in Tartarus
Episode 38: The Fields of Ash
Episode 39: Let's Kill Fluttershy
Episode 40: Outbreak in the Lunar Republic
Episode 41: How We Met Your Mother
Episode 42: Slice of Life
Episode 43: Miss Rarity and Company
Episode 44: The Mysterious Mare
Episode 45: The Impossible Child
Episode 46: Ponyville of London
Episode 47: Edgar's World
Episode 48: Angels and Gargoyles
Episode 49: The Day Beach City Stood Still
Episode 50: Fowl
Episode 51: The Foal Who Lived
Episode 52: Fluttershy's Big Adventure
Episode 53: The Doctor and the Avatar
Episode 54: The Fire Lord and the Daleks
Episode 55: Going Home
Episode 56: The Oncoming Storm
Episode 57: Hell Comes to Equestria
Episode 58: The Dark One

Like with the last list, I didn't identify the 2-parters but there will be six of them. I'm also going to give you some information pertaining to the three arcs that will form Season 2.

The first arc will heavily feature the canon Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond, and Rory Williams. The conclusion of that arc will take place in a dark, disturbing setting. That's all I'm going to say about that.

The second arc will see the Doctor going on various adventures with the rest of the Mane 6. Season 1 focused a lot on the Doctor with Twilight and Derpy and some others along the way. This arc will show the Doctor branching away from that and going on adventures with the rest of the Mane 6 (and maybe some extras here and there).

The third and final arc will have a lot of crossovers. There are other crossovers throughout Season 2 but a huge chunk of them will form the final arc.

And that's all I'm going to reveal. I look forward to continuing my DW series and, once again, I'm sorry to those of you who followed DWC. I hope you can continue enjoying my main series (if those of you who followed DWC have also followed the main DW series, that is) and I hope that I can continue entertaining you!

To be honest, I've always felt DWC was the weaker of the two series. I'm not disappointed seeing it end. You know, in a weird way, after the revelation of Discord Whooves' origins in "Black Sun", if reworked the right way, DWC could be a prequel spin-off of DW about Derpy and the Doctor Whooves who would become Discord Whooves.

Episode 27: Game of Ponds

It’s like Game of Thrones but with the Ponds. I imagine this is part of that first arc you spoke of.

Episode 31: Welcome to Storybrooke

Of course, it’s been plainly obvious that this story is crossing over with Once Upon A Time. Though you mentioned that the third arc of the second “season” will have a lot of crossovers, and this is pretty early on. I imagine this will set up the final arc.

Episode 39: Let's Kill Fluttershy

Who’d want to kill Fluttershy?! :fluttershysad:

Episode 41: How We Met Your Mother

It’s like How I Met Your Mother. :raritywink:

Episode 42: Slice of Life

You named an episode after “Slice of Life.” Well, that episode did heavily feature Doctor Whooves. You did say you wanted to focus on the Doctor’s interactions with other characters beside Twilight and Derpy.

Episode 43: Miss Rarity and Company
Episode 44: The Mysterious Mare
Episode 45: The Impossible Child

I imagine 43 and 44 might reveal the origins of Matilda. I mean it’s pretty strongly implied that Rarity is Matilda’s mother. Episode 45 could refer to Matilda, but I think you’ve already used the term “Impossible Child” to refer to Jenny. Perhaps that means we will be seeing her again here.

Episode 48: Angels and Gargoyles

I imagine this will involve the Weeping Angels and the Gargoyles from Gargoyles. Been a long time since I’ve seen Gargoyles, but it’s definitely worth revisiting.

Episode 49: The Day Beach City Stood Still

That’s Steven Universe isn’t it. I’ve been in a weirdly hipster-ish way trying to see how long I can go without ever having to watch Steven Universe. I’m going to have to watch it now am I.

Episode 50: Fowl

I know the pale, dark haired guy in the cover of these stories is Artemis Fowl. I’ve never read an Artemis Fowl book. I’ve heard they’ve been trying to make them into movies for years. Even recently, I heard Disney is still at it. Maybe I’ll find a chance to check them out before this story rolls along.

Episode 51: The Foal Who Lived

It’s already been implied that Matilda spent some time in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I suspect she’s the titular foal.

Episode 52: Fluttershy's Big Adventure

A lot of Fluttershy this season. Yay! :yay:

Episode 53: The Doctor and the Avatar
Episode 54: The Fire Lord and the Daleks

Oh my gosh! This is going to crossover with Avatar! Can you at least say if it’s The Last Airbender or The Legend of Korra? These dual titles resemble “The Avatar and the Fire Lord” from the third season of The Last Airbender. And there are Daleks! I hope Lin Bei Fong and the other metalbenders will be there. That should given them an edge. Unless Daleks are made of platinum. :twilightoops:

Episode 58: The Dark One

I imagine this will be set up in the earlier episode that appears to crossover with Once Upon A Time. Could be indicating that the Dark One will be this season’s Big Bad like Discord Whooves was the Big Bad of the first season.

Either way, I remain very excited to see how the first season of Doctor Whooves will wrap up, and how this second season will roll out in the future. So, very excited. :pinkiehappy:

You know, in a weird way, after the revelation of Discord Whooves' origins in "Black Sun", if reworked the right way, DWC could be a prequel spin-off of DW about Derpy and the Doctor Whooves who would become Discord Whooves.

An interesting idea. But, from now on, I only want to focus on one Doctor Whooves series. But that is a good idea for a potential chapter of my Doctor Whooves Shorts.

That’s Steven Universe isn’t it. I’ve been in a weirdly hipster-ish way trying to see how long I can go without ever having to watch Steven Universe. I’m going to have to watch it now am I.

In my opinion, it's a fantastic show. There are A LOT of episodes thus far but they're only ten minutes long each so it's a very easy series to binge-watch. But you won't have to see it to enjoy this upcoming episode of mine. My goal with these future crossovers is to make it so that even people who aren't familiar with the introduced fandoms can still enjoy it. I'm sure I've made it a bit hard already in the past with all the references I make to the past of DW and MLP; but I think my writing has improved significantly since I wrote Episode 1 and I think it's going to continue improving. Still, I do recommend Steven Universe. It has one of the most well-written and likable child characters ever, in my opinion.

I know the pale, dark haired guy in the cover of these stories is Artemis Fowl.

Here some behind-the-scenes info. The guy in question is Artemis Fowl from a fan art pic. In the cover, he's supposed to represent Edgar Roger Stevens. Back when I made the cover and started planning out the series 3 years ago, Edgar was going to have a larger role in Season 1. Obviously, that changed and, without going into too many spoilers, he's going to have more of a role in Season 2. Also, the cover is going to change once Season 2 begins. I've already made a Season 2 cover and I think it's better than the Season 1 cover.

Oh my gosh! This is going to crossover with Avatar! Can you at least say if it’s The Last Airbender or The Legend of Korra?

I'll dip a bit more into spoilers and say that it will involve the characters and time setting of The Last Airbender. But don't rule out a Korra crossover in the future...

As sad as I am to see it go im "proud" to see someone say "Hey love you but... I can't do this" some not all authors say nothing about canceling and leave people with questions and that is why you are my favorite author
