    Where I'm at now.

I couldn't tell you why I still have a FIMFiction tab open on my browser, and I can't even tell you the last time I clicked onto it. I think it's realistic that posting this is the last major activity I'll grant the site.

    Ten years today.

According to the info blurb beside my name, this is the ten-year anniversary of this account. And to think, this all started with me doing self-insert riffs on bad MLP fiction. And now I've got two finished stories under my belt, a crossover atrophying in a forgotten corner, and two other projects completely pony-unrelated I've finally put some words down for*. And also the last vestiges of my

    F/F/T3K19 THE SORTA FINAL

Last month's riff is complete. Enjoy.

This month, we're finally, finally finishing that riff of a riff we started god knows how long ago. We've spliced in a tiny Christmas story in there too.

Alright, we didn't exactly intend to slow down quite this much quite yet, but that's how we're gonna roll now. Here's last month's riff.

Wes Craven · 4:56am Sep 1st, 2015

I'm shocked nothing popped up about this in my feed, but horror legend Wes Craven succumbed to brain cancer today at the age of 76.

I'm a sucker for a good horror flick. If anyone asks me for a favorite horror movie, my answers will usually include A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream. The former was one of the most original and terrifying slashers of its time, introducing an antagonist who's still remembered and feared today. The latter, one of my all-time favorite movies, took a meta route and turned the slasher tropes Craven helped codify completely on their heads, and I maintain that it had a pretty damn good first sequel that did the same. The man was an idol of mine, and he's left behind one hell of a legacy that my bullshit late-night eulogy can't do justice.

Rest in peace, Craven. Tell 'em Freddy sent ya.

We don't have many more of the good ones left to loose, and when the last finally has peace all we'll be left with are barely incompetent hacks
