Sun and Moon next chapter · 7:58pm Aug 31st, 2015
Hey everyone. I'm about halfway done with the next chapter, so here's a bit of what I've done the meantime:
"Spike, let go of me! It's hot enough as it is." He stopped when they stumbled into a random trainer. He turned around to see Twilight.
"Hey, you look like a trainer. Wanna battle?" He grinned as he held up a Pokeball. Twilight gave Spike a light glare before getting one of her Pokeballs out. "Sure."
"Okay." They walked a couple of yards away from each other. "Go, Sandshrew!" He threw his Pokeball and a small round beige Pokemon with black eyes and a white belly came out.
Sandshrew: The Mouse Pokemon.
It burrows and lives underground. If threatened, it curls itself up into a ball for protection."Come on out Hoothoot." Her signature flying- type flew out of its ball.
"Sandstorm!" Within seconds, Sandshrew whipped up the large sandstorm. Hoothoot struggled not to be blown away by it.
"Confusion!" Hoothoot's eyes lit up to try and lift Sandshrew up.
"Scratch." Before Hoothoot could grab hold of it with the special attack, Sandshrew was gone. It rushed forward and hit Hoothoot directly. Hoothoot tried to grab it with Confusion, but it dashed away before the flying Pokemon could do anything. It ran circles around Hoothoot, who couldn't keep track of Sandshrew at all. Sandshrew went in for another Scratch on the flying- type's left, then its right, then its back.
"It's slowly whittling Hoothoot down." Twilight thought while looking at her battling book. "It must have the ability Sand Rush. Its speed is doubled in a sandstorm." Hoothoot was knocked back into a rock.
"Fly up Hoothoot!" It barely avoided the Scratch and was supported by the Sandstorm.
"Rollout! Go up that rock!" Sandshrew curled up into a ball and rolled towards a rock between Hoothoot and itself. As it got closer, it went faster. When it neared the rock it used it as a platform to roll up into the air as it hit the flying- type, who was still struggling. Hoothoot was knocked out of the air and onto the ground.
"Oh no!" Twilight gasped. Hoothoot had fainted, so she picked him up and got out another Pokemon. "Go, Ralts!"
The small fairy- type smiled as it came out of its ball, but brought its arms up to its face when it felt the Sandstorm. Sandshrew continued the Rollout as it used rolled circles around Ralts like it had with Hoothoot.
"Disarming Voice!" Before Sandshrew could do hit the fairy- type, the pink sound waves met their mark as Sandshrew was blown back and the Rollout was cancelled.
"Scratch it!" The mouse Pokemon then landed on its hind legs as the claws on both of its front paws lit up and extended once again. It shot towards Ralts, ready to attack.
"Confusion!" Sandshrew circled Ralts several times but found itself locked in a Psychic aura and thrown far away at one of the rocks.
"Jump and use Rollout!" Sandshrew landed on the side of the rock and instantly sprung off it, going twice as fast as when it was falling. While it was in the air, it curled into a ball and began spinning. "Now Sandstorm!" As Sandshrew was doing the Rollout, A Sandstorm began following behind it, making it even faster. Once it hit Ralts, the fairy- type was blown in the air. Sandshrew then rolled towards another rock and bounced off of it, jumping in the air and hitting Ralts again, repeating the same attack several more times. The fairy- type then landed unconscious on the ground.
"I've trained Sandshrew to really take advantage of this desert area." The trainer said. "It'll take more than your book to beat me."
"Go Eev-"
