Well, I Finally Got Tails of Equestria

Hey... again hopefully I’ll be around more this time but we’ll see.

So, you all know I love me some Tabletop RPG, well last week a I got my little niece a set of dice to get her into the hobby and just today finally got Tails.

I’m pretty excited, I’m sure it’ll be fun... I hope I don’t screw up GMing like I normally do but it’s a simple enough game.

    I’m More Than Annoyed

    Well, I’m more than annoyed.

The new Shadowrun matrix book Kill Code has been announced and it had some input from the community.

That’s good, the bad is one particular member.

I’ve ranted before so you probably know where I’m going, Bamce, the stupidest, worst, mod ever, well now he’s officially in a book.

    Bright Again

I already complained about this but seriously, screw the movie.

The sequel is coming, and a lot of people have the same response, but I’m the one that gets targeted for saying it?

Screw Bright, you are not Shadowrun, you will never be Shadowrun, and if I ran the Union I would time out or ban anyone who brings it up without giving them an actual connection to a good series.

Freaking Bright, I am SICK of Bright

So who here actually knows about Bright?

Long story short it’s a generic buddy cop movie from Netflix starring William Smith.

    F:yay:CK THIS CRAPPY MOVIE!

It’s a buddy cop movie, but it has a gimmick, they shove fantasy in because, “Now it’s something special!”

    Problem is they explain NOTHING!

Now, why does this movie just piss me the hell off? Because Shadowrun.

Man, I’ve Been Gone Too Long...

What is this like the fifth time I’m saying that?

What can I say? I was looking at a few of my old FoE PnP characters, that drew me to the FoE Subreddit, and that linked me back here.

Man, my last blog was forever ago and it was just complaining about Shadowrun groups...

Make of This as you Will, but Borderlands Movie... · 8:37pm Aug 28th, 2015

Yep, there's gonna be a Borderlands Movie.

I don't know if I've let you all know this, but I love Borderlands, I'm not going to discount this just because there hasn't been an amazing history of game movies but I am taking it with a grain of salt.

I know some people will be asking why it's just a grain, well Borderlands has proven themselves in the past.

The comics are entertaining, the novels are top notch, and Tales from the Borderlands proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that this series is amazing with a story driven experience.

Borderlands on the surface may not seem like much, but you dig in there and you see that there's quite the world.

I mean, what happened to the aliens that constructed the vaults? Speaking of that, why were the vaults made? What is the source of Siren powers, and their connection to the vaults and the aliens?

Why is some murderous backwater planet the center of attention for these sources of power to the point that every major corporation in the galaxy is willing to send their mightiest and risk their livelihoods just to get a taste?

I'm honestly excited for when we eventually get Borderlands 3 if not just to learn some answers, but the main point remains it has quite the world, quite the lore.

We really don't know much of anything at the moment so we can't say good or bad, and even when we know more we still have to much time before we make a choice.

Video game movies fail, plain and simple, the reason is even easier corporations don't care about the heart of a game.

You wanna know what I mean? Watch the Mega Man fan film, it is great because it's people who care about the series and want to see it done justice.

Even better example? Nuka-Break, find me a single Fallout fan who doesn't love Nuka-Break I dare you.

These captured the heart of the game, these cared, these were people who wanted to see them done justice, and did a great job.

My fingers are crossed, and I'm taking it with a grain of salt, but I do hope for the best.

Even if one didn't have the most engrossing story, it was a good game, and without it we wouldn't be where we are.

So let's hope for the best, and wait on judgement until we actually have something to judge.

I will have to keep an eye out for more news about this... I enjoy Borderlands too

Hopefully this will prompt a real effort into Gearbox making a good comeback borderlands, after the flop of TPS.

3354685
385 hours worth of Borderlands 2 enjoyment? As well as the Origins comic, and all three novels?... I obsess over things sometimes...

3354733
Pre-Sequel flopped? I gotta pay more attention to things, I'm mainly waiting for a GOTY type edition with everything, though I do wish I'd have gotten it as opposed to that Humble Japanese Bundle.

Anyway though, back to the main point, namely last I heard they were working on 3, and speaking from experience Tales is one of the absolute best experiences I've had in years.

Just wow, if you're a Borderlands fan it's more then worth it, four of the five are out and episode four was beyond beautiful.

They did a top notch job of capturing the odd-ball humor style, the story is a work of art, and overall it's just an amazing experience.

And this is coming from someone who really isn't a big fan of the genre, but this was something that was knocked out of the park.

Final note, main thing I want form Borderlands 3 is answers, I wanna know about the Eridian's, I wanna know about Siren's connection to the dead aliens, I wanna know why they built these vaults, I want to see Dr. Tannis have her research go somewhere...

And on a personal note, I wanna see more about Maliwan, what can I say? I love me some elemental weapons.

3354938 I just never really enjoyed TPS, and I'm not the only one. All the hype that was built up leading up to the release, and it was, at best, meh. I only got one playthrough out of it, and in terms of re-playability, I haven't touched it in 9 months. Plus, as an Australian, the aussie accents really annoyed me after 20 mins, but that's just my opinion. I much prefer the original game, closely followed by the second. But, if you enjoyed it, good for you!

I haven't played Pre-Sequal yet, I still plan to if not just for the story (even if I just get one playthrough, I need to know what happens, and I'd rather know from experience, I was raving about Tales because just wow that is good stuff.

Like I said, Borderlands has some amazing lore and I'd really like to know what happened on the moon.

I mean, I've read bits and pieces, but you can never really know until you experience it, also it may help me cut back on 2, like I said over 385 hours, and I just got it like during spring.

Three playthroughs, one and a half Ultimate re-plays, now finally getting to my Siren who I named Sonata.

Two of those playthroughs are also all DLC included, as well as the full ultimate.

3355135 well, I hope you get more enjoyment out of it than I did. 385 hours? Solid effort, though nothing beats a good ol' farmory pearl run back in the original, am I right??

3355366
Never gotten a Pearl in either, if we're talking grinding for something insanely rare I've never done it with Borderlands (well the Bunker and Henry heads), but I have spent sleepless nights running through tall grass hunting for shinys.

Another story for another time though, back to the main point Borderlands is amazing, Borderlands 2 is amazing, Tales is just a beautiful experience.

Episode 1 had me hooked, 2 just kept it going, 3 was awesome, and 4, just I can't describe 4, words don't do it justice if not just for one lone part.

I'm not a heavily emotional person, but I almost cried, it was just so amazing.

3355877 I've really got to get Tales. I loved Telltale's The Walking Dead, and from what I've heard, Tales is meant to be awesome :D damn I love borderlands

3357411
It was great, episode 4 though just pushed it over the top.

I can't really say much of anything, but there was an event that nearly made me cry.
