Freaking Bright, I am SICK of Bright · 2:45am Mar 24th, 2018
So who here actually knows about Bright?
Long story short it’s a generic buddy cop movie from Netflix starring William Smith.
FCK THIS CRAPPY MOVIE!
It’s a buddy cop movie, but it has a gimmick, they shove fantasy in because, “Now it’s something special!”
Problem is they explain NOTHING!
Now, why does this movie just piss me the hell off? Because Shadowrun.
You guys know I love Shadowrun, well the only somewhat decent group I’ve found is the Shadowrunners Union on Facebook.
I’ve already ranted about how the Reddit is a bunch of elitist pricks that complain if you don’t play the game right.
Well, the Union is pretty good, but that movie, it’s a freaking dead horse of a meme that those idiots keep beating.
Seriously, I’m just pissed that after months of being a Bright Free zone someone decided to post about it again.
I’m just angry, I’m just ranting, but generic buddy cop movie with orcs because lol isn’t a Shadowrun.
Shadowrun isn’t just urban fantasy, it’s the cyberpunk element that makes it Shadowrun.
Sorry, I just needed to rant, I’m ready to punch someone out.
It really falls short, forgets about the possible issues that fantasy races have when integrated with the modern setting. Prejudice and or racism? Nope. Parallels to real life? Nah.
Lots of wasted potential.

Exactly, and like I said it’s not Shadowrun.

Never done Shadowrun, but from what you've said I might like it. I'll consider trying it someday.

It’s really cool, even if you can’t play try and find some of the novels because the world is amazing.
And they explain it, and it makes sense.
