Remember two blog posts ago about scrapped ideas? Well, here is the most absurd idea I ever came up with and thankfully didn't go that route I thought up.
Fact #10: Originally, I wanted part 2 (After The Element of Magic arc) of the story to start with a time skip. I was going to jump several years into the future where the Rainboom Thieves had continued to stay in Manehattan, stealing from the corrupt. Then, I was gonna write a story where a new crime boss came to Manehattan and made everything worse. The new crime boss was supposed to be (This is the absurd part) Diamond Tiara. That's right, that was who I was gonna use. Thankfully, I replaced her with Smoking Brick, a random pony I made up on the spot and made sure the time skip didn't happen.
Yeah...sounds pretty dumb, doesn't it?!
