is it just me, or is the sight acting wired? · 6:40am Jul 31st, 2012
OK, so it has been about what? a week maybe two since the 502/504 error disaster, but ever since then, the site for me has been acting strange. examples include:
layering issues- for example whenever i move my mouse over my Username or Read Later tab, it goes under things like story post or this blog post.
story editing/downloading- I can still download stuff, so don't worry about that, but the grey bar that is at the start of every story, where the download options are, they are usually stacked side by side, but now they are stacked one above the other, and it cuts the stories that i am trying to read in half.
the feature box- this just happened today, with the recent update. all 10 featured stories are trying to be displayed all at once, leaving a mess of pictures and text.
group catagories- they are gone, completly gone.
can't do a specific serch- same with above, it layers under hte banner.
i am sending a message to knighty about this, i just need to know if it is just me or if other ppl are having this problem. and i need to know if there is anything they can do about it or if it is just something to do with my computer (Which is highly unlikely, cause everything else works fine)
I'm getting some funky errors sometimes, but nothing of your scale, I think it might just be you. Have you tried using different browsers to see how it renders in those? See how it renders in different browsers like Chrome if your on firefox, or K-meleon if it appears on both, and if it appears normal on a different browser then it is definitley a problem with your browser, I'd reccomend try clearing your cache first after trying different browsers, then progressively disable different extensions or addons to see if any one of those is causing the rendering problems.

You are using IE aren't you? This happened to me months ago with IE 7 so I switched to chrome and haven't had any of hose issues since.

finally succumbed and got chrome. everything is fine now
261667 Chrome has a feature that lets you reopen to your last browsing session. It's extremely useful .
sometimes when I try to vist the site I get a blank screen that says gateway 52 not found, but all I have to do it hit refresh and it loads up normally
