There's Good News and some Bad News · 1:35pm Jul 30th, 2012

Hello everyone. Once again I can't thank you all enough for the continued support and enthusiasm for "You Brighten My Day"!

Now I wanted to give you all an update. I have Good News and some Bad News. If any of you are like me, you like to get the rough stuff out of the way first.

The Bad News: My wonderful vacation came to a end four hours early last night, when I returned to work at 7pm rather than 11pm. A few hours in, I found out my department is going to be short handed. So I have to work a 60 hour week, which means little if any time to work on my story. Though this bad news does have a silver lining. Since I was able to partially choose which days I work my OT, I opted to work Mon-Thurs. This means Friday morning at 7, I'm done for the week and have the weekend. =D And since one of my 12 hour shifts is down, I only have four more to go!

The Good News: Now due to my busy work week, Chapter 3 of "You Brighten My Day" is going to be futher delayed, but at present it is 80% complete sitting at 5,722 words. I'm shooting for around 7,000 words for this chapter, unless I find a place in the next scene or two that would make for a decent end point. Now as this week plays out, I won't have time to do much more than sleep and check for updates/notifications. And given that I may at most have an hour of true free-time, I will most likely opt to work on one of my side projects. I do not want to risk messing up this story. So I hope you will all bear with me...and I further pray that a sincere heart-felt apology will quell your collective wrath (don't worry, I know you guys are understanding). Though I know many of you have voiced your eagerness for the next chapter, you have also requested that I take my time and not rush this. So I implore your patience. You have my sincerest apologies and my endless gratitude for all of your support and understanding.

Well I'd best get to bed. My time grows short. But before I go, I want to share a photo I took the other day. It's of a full rainbow. Now my Digital Camera is pretty much a dinosaur, but I got most of it in one shot. I hope you can enjoy its beauty the same way I did. As I looked at it, I don't know, there was something almost magical about it. It filled me with hope. Sorry if that sounds overly corny, but cut me some slack, I work 3rd shift. =D Take care everyone!
