The final chapter of the arc is coming and it is 2.1k words and counting. Estimated end wordage: 4-5k.

Not that you guys haven't already guessed it. I did mention it like a billion times in the past.
“Want a hint?” Red and serpentine eyed, the mare drifted fully from the settling mist, her wings wide as her mane drifted about her head as if caught by an unseen wind, displaying the varying colours of a setting sky upon the eve of night; burning with the dying light of the sun and as cold as the darkness of the unforgiving, starless night.
Besides her taller and more mature body shape that closely resembled Celestia’s, Twilight’s wings seemed far more angular than before with the feathers a touch sharper in their jagged formation.
Her smile even bore a set of wicked looking fangs.
“Whom else would we be?” The alicorn mused. “Or is there a queue of alicorns who wish to see you suffer like we?”
You might want to have linked this to the actual story, unless there is a particular reason you didn't want to do that.

Great news about the next update, and all that sounds awesomely interesting! Can't wait.
(Oh, wait. It'll be around two weeks, from what you estimated. So I guess that I (okay, we) have to. Drats.

And if you don't mind an observation about that image of Twi above, she looks a bit like a demon (sort of). Is she going to come back as fully evil after what happened to her? Or will she be the pony that AJ and the rest of the remaining Elements know so well? (And that AJ is in love with.)
Also, when I read this:

I got a bit curious.
Oh, crap, never mind.
I reread that again, and the only pony in MLP that I know of that uses the "Royal "We" is Luna. So that answers that question.
Twilight's gonna be confronting Luna about what she's done to Celestia, Fluttershy and everypony else that Twi loves.
Suddenly, I don't think that I'd want to be in Luna's horseshoes.
Or warboots.
Or whichever it is.
Anyway, as hard as it's going to be to wait, and as much as I (again, we) want it now, it's going to be lovely to see what's gonna happen next!
