I know some of you are probably very concerned about the title of my post. Your heart might have skipped a beat, or at the very least an eyebrow was raised in puzzlement. Don't worry, I'll talk you through this.
When I began writing this story, precisely August 2013, I was a simple student. I had absolute oodles of free time to devote to my story. Unfortunately, real life has the most bothersome habit of intruding upon my hobbies. For almost the past year I've been working a full time job. How many times have you heard this excuse? I'm not going to act like my situation warrants any special exemption; there are plenty of authors here who deal with all sorts of real-world shenanigans. Which is why it embarrasses me that in the time I've been working, only about six chapters have been published of what is quickly growing into a several-hundred word epic. Sometimes I think I've bitten off more than I can chew!
Ironic that my most popular story seems to be taking a lot longer to right. I didn't seem to have difficulty finishing the others... But seriously, you guys have given me wonderful support, from a TVtropes page to being featured on Equestria Daily. I love nothing more than to see my notifications fill up with cute little red bells and see what people have to say today.
Don't worry, I have absolutely NO plans to simply abandon my story; I cannot do that to all you guys. All I'm saying here is I will complete it, just as to when is an open question (probably like in thirty years when nobody cares anymore). It's hard to say what the future will hold, but I hope some of you will still be there to catch the ending.
I am truly sorry for keeping you waiting like this, and especially for going so long without so much as a peep. We might be getting to a melancholy place here, but I'll still check in every now and again to see my feed and stuff. When things settle down and I know what the heck I'm gonna do, we'll dust off that ol' keyboard and continued the grand odyssey of Ancient Equestria.

Hey man, I want you to know that you've been really good to all of us who follow your amazing story. You don't owe us any kind of explanation, yet you've provided us with one anyway. That means something. At the risk of sounding incredibly old, you're a swell guy. Do what you have to do, ok? I'm sure we all appreciate what you've done already!

Regardless of whether you are able to finish or not, this certainly has been an enjoyable story thus far!
What can I say? But I will wait for this beautiful story to finish.
I still have hopes this will get updated one day again, considering the author is still online at least occasionally if not active. So many great stories just end up abandoned.
