(late) Amending Fences thoughts

Confession time: I put off watching this episode a while because to me it sounded boring. And in my personal opinion, it kind of was.

I found the episode plot overly sappy-sweet even for MLP, and thought Moondancer was annoying (until she looked like she would hit Twilight with the pinata bat anyway- had she done that, or tried to and sent Twilight running away, I might have enjoyed it more). I thought it was too close to S1, which I wasn't very fond of (besides the episodes Friendship is Magic part 1 and 2, Bridle Gossip, Dragonshy, Fall Weather Friends, Stare Master, Over a Barrel, A Dog and Pony Show, and Party of One). S1, in my own personal opinion, didn't have enough action/adventure.

But this is most likely from my own bias. I was never fond of slice-of-life type stories/shows. I'm more interested in action/adventure. If an episode is is slice-of-life, I much prefer wacky shenanigans (such as in the MLP episodes "Slice of Life" and "Make New Friends but Keep Discord") or some kind of fighting (as you could see in my Dr. Bobtail and Thieves' Gala stories (which are slice-of-life but have quite a bit of rougher stuff) rather than just straight up slice-of-life.

So I wouldn't watch "Amending Fences" again myself. In my personal opinion, it's one of the least stellar episodes of the season. Again, this is strictly my own personal opinion. I already know that most of the people on here probably disagree with my thoughts on the episode, which I have no problem with as long as they don't attack me for having a differing opinion.
