Remember when I said that "Monsters" (a prequel to Night Shift) would be my last pony fanfic? Weeeellll... technically, I'm going to release that one later, so that still holds. Take that!
Princess Twilight decides to take a day off, all for herself. She proceeds to ponder the intricacies of her life, how she got here, and the taste of muffins with hot sauce.
I woke up today with a particular song stuck in my head -- kudos if you get it -- and an idea. So I booted up my computer and wrote this in like an hour. I don't often do this spur-of-the-moment writing; I usually agonise over whatever I put out for bloody months (like with "Monsters" which is, I promise, coming really soon). So... this time, even I'm not sure what I was going for. I just felt like writing this, if for nothing else then to get that earworm out of my head. I managed, by the way.
