Bridesmaids Mini-Sequil in progress · 4:00am Jul 1st, 2015
So this happened the other day while writing Upon the Sea of Sky:
Me: I need to involve Luna in the story now, but there is noway she would go out on something like this alone. She needs friends, who could also be a brute squad like Celestia's Element Bearers.
Brain: Hey, why not have her have befriended Colgate, Lyra, Bon-bon, Vinyl, Octavia, and Meep? You've been wanting to write more of them anyways, and that cool guy PMed you about a sequel.
Me: That's not half bad! Let's drop them in a chapter... It's been 14 years though how have they changed? Hum yeah, that works...
Brain: Um, you think readers can absorb all that info in just a chapter? You did time skip in the AU pretty far.
Me: Crap...
Brain: *sigh* Do a short story explaining the big thing each of them has as a character. You can always do another, bigger sequel later.
Me: But Meep and Cole's thing is already drafted out. i dont want to spoil it!
Brain: So skip them, yeesh! I swear I do everything for you.
Me: You totally do other me. Thank you.
So in a few days or so I'll have a short story out. The Sea Series is on a short 4 or 5 day pause while I get this backstory cranked out. It may be less if I can find my muse.
