    Christian Bashing

So as I've been reading stories here on FiMFiction, I've noticed a disturbing trend amongst a very vocal minority in the brony community, one that disturbs me. Christian haters. I'm not talking about people who disagree with Christian views, but people who full-on tell others that they are wrong for their beliefs, criticize them without actual basis, and treat them like crap.

    Delayed Again... Sorry!

I had no idea how many entries I really got! The delay this time is simply due to the massive number of questions for the Election debate, the enormous amount of editing needed to get your OC songs posted up, and the rest of the story to boot! Rest assured, Episode 8 is coming, and is already over 12,000 words, despite me having only half of the song entries completed!

The Pony Variety Show! On Hold this Weekend...

Sorry to everypony who was looking forward to the PVS! this week. Due to the competition, other projects I have going on, a computer issue, and a serious lack of inspiration on my own part, I've decided to postpone for this sunday.

Delayed Again... Sorry! · 6:48pm Jul 25th, 2012

I promise, promise, promise to have it done by this Sunday, and all of your entries are going in, even if I have to kill myself to do it! Please don't hate me!

Well, the competition is only part of it. I've also finished the Big Race in Act 1, and the entire Election Debate for Act 2. The Singoff is a little less than halfway done, and I haven't even touched the Muppet Labs skit, Girls meet their R34 behind the scenes, or the Fanmail segment. :derpyderp1::derpyderp2:

I don't hate in general unless it's a fictional character or a stupid concept. Then, I hate with a passion.

12,000 words? :pinkiegasp: That's a lot. Isn't that twice as much as the last chapter? Whoa.

Can I change the song my OC is singing?

249563 R34, say what. Sweet.

As for the delays, cool off man, this is meant to be a hobby, not a job. Take as much time as you need to be proud of your work, and then post it.

Yup, and a lot more to do still! I think I might just go crazy! :rainbowlaugh: :facehoof:

249591
Uh... unfortunately not. You were the first entry.

I know, but I have high expectations on myself... Maybe I do need to cut back a little. Still, Sunday for sure!

249643 High expectations and deadlines will only detract from the quality as you try and make time for yourself, then start panicking and rushing as the days tick by. A week may seem like a lot of time (and it can be if you manage to get on a writing roll like me, knocking off whole chapters in a few hours), but it'll fly past you if you have more work than you first figured.

Just work however you can, and consider the deadline a challenge, not a fixed date of release. That way, if you meet it, more power to ya, and if not, well, not much loss.

Woah! that sounds like a lot of work... :applejackconfused:

Have you considered getting someone as an editor? :applejackunsure:

Thanks for the vote of confidence and understanding. It probably wouldn't be such a problem if I hadn't bit off more than I can chew with this contest, so I'll take that as my reason for slipping.

I do know what you mean, and it is something I should put into practice more. :twilightsheepish:

Consistency often does. :twilightsheepish:

I have considered it, but I've yet to find somepony who can actually match my pace, schedule, and level of quality. Most of the material I write comes out edited, because I am a stickler for perfection. If it's not perfect, I'm not letting anypony read it! :facehoof:

Ah, a perfectionist. I want to be a writer and not a reviewer, but that's the exact reason I haven't put anything up yet.

Can be a tad bit annoying at times... :ajbemused:

249866
Sadly in excess. Luckily I am blessed with the ability to override it once I reach a certain degree of quality. The problem ultimately is that I want to share more than I have time to write for! (Now if I could just figure out how to get paid for doing this stuff... xD)

249901
THAT, my dear sir is the true holy grail of writing!

You seem farther along with it than me though... :twilightblush:

Consistency is the only key I have, and at the moment, I will do my best to use it!
