Hey guys, I had a question I was hoping for some feedback on. For those of you currently following The Show Must Go On, how would you feel about a rape scene. It would just be a dream, but I know lots of stories with rape (especially ones with no warning) have a lot of people dropping off. I just know those of you reading that story have been very loyal for a while and I would hate to upset you guys.
Feel free to hit up that comment section and let me know your thoughts.
I would feel really uncomfortable, but I probably wouldn't stop reading the story.
Who would be getting it? Also, I'd be uncomfortable as Hell, but I would still follow it
I guess I felt a little uncomfortable
but still follow the story
but also it depends on who is the violation
if only a dream, would be nice
Rape scenes can be tastefully done, and I feel as long as you have a Trigger Warning for it, there shouldn't be any issue... (I actually haven't started it yet, I'm pretty new here.) But as a writer, it's your story and your artistic vision. Just because it's rape doesn't mean it's inherently unpalatable or crude. I say write the scene/chapter, and decide if it's better to include it - or just discuss that it happened (esp if it's a dream, as not all dreams get screentime).
I would feel uncomfortable, but if its a dream about rape, I guess its okay
