SITREP: Progress & Positions · 3:08am Jun 23rd, 2015
I'll keep this short and simple, as things are rather busy for me; that being the main point really. Summer's been busier than I hoped with a class, job, and various other things; my personal problem adding an extra layer of distraught on top of it at the start. In addition, I've been trying to write out a new story; something a little different I haven't seen around the site. Regardless of that, I'm still working on Nearing the Edge, and I'll get to that now.
Most immediate order of business is a chapter re-write, which is done and is waiting to be edited.
For the future, I've decided to try a new tactic for publishing, as I personally enjoy reading through full arcs of stories rather than wait. So, from now on, I'm going to be grouping chapters together and publishing multiple ones at the same time, though never to a ludicrously large amount. To give reference, the next 3 chapters of the story will be put out in this fashion. The next one is already complete and the second is about halfway through the writing.
Last point is that we have a couple of writers to welcome who will be writing for antagonist nations.
Writing for the Griffons is Kalash93 with Junior Sergeant Korrector of the 115th Motor-Rifle Division!
Writing for the Changelings is smoers06 with Lieutenant Decoy of Field Division 212!
Other than that, I should also say that due to some issues, Baroque won't be writing for the correspondent. This actually took place a while back and I wanted to wait till I got a replacement but I haven't found one yet. I'll keep looking, but until then the position will be taken off.
So that's it for now; hopefully something will be coming soon.
I can't help but notice that out of your 15 stories, only one of them is actually completed, and that was a one-shot. I know it can be hard to focus on one story at a time. I really hope that you go back and revisit your old stories, especially Brothers in Arms.
Speaking of Brothers in Arms... it's a shame it's not very popular. Your story is literally the only BIA related story on the site. The story of Leggett, Baker, and the cursed pistol is one of the most interesting and harrowing of any piece of fiction I've ever experienced. I don't think I'm ever going to forget Leggett standing on the top of the ledge, shouting "TAKE MEEEEE!" as the German tank fires at him.
