Yes, cuz now it's canon he's a deep thinker, and it give perfekt opertuneties. Maybe Pinkie think he's depressed, take him to Flutter so he can talk 'bout his feelings
3168553 Yeah, that sounds nice ^_^ (dat spoiler honey xD)
Write it, but not as a sequel. Sequels limit your audience. People who haven't read the first one, won't want to read the second.

3168556 dear, This story is one of my most popular yet. It got a big audiance who'd loce a sequel!

3168560 You can still take advantage of the audience of One last letter from a loyal companion without making the new one a direct sequel.
Instead, write the new one independently and publish it. Then write a blog post tagged with One last letter from a loyal companion, advertising your new story, and saying that while it's not strictly a sequel, it deals with many of the same themes and is written in a similar style.
Seriously, none of the sequels I've been involved with as a writer/editor/collaborator have performed as well as the original story in the series. Take a look at ScratchnTavi's Flitter x Cloudchaser series if you want a good demonstration of this. The first story has over 700 views; and there's a steady downhill decline to the most recent, which has less than 250 views so far. The only exception (if you have M-rated stories visible) is the M-rated side-story because… well, clop is popular. The quality of the stories hasn't gone down — in fact, I think her writing has improved noticeably.
Another example: Miss Spectrum's "My Dear" stories (M-rated). The first was more popular.
Another example: the naan bread series.
Another example: TiM series.

Okay, thank you for that insight. I personally do know of a sequel of mine which preformed better than thr original, but I'll still consider what you said.
