To me this season feels more miss then hit. It started really good with the first three episodes but then it went in meh territory.
Bloom and Gloom, easily the WEAKEST of the CMC dream episodes for it had no real world issue like the other to, it was all a mental thing Apple Bloom had to deal with. What what was with Luna's voice this season?
Tanks for the memeories, in the wrong season. should have been in season 3. I refused to believe season 1-4 happened in ONE FREAKING YEAR.

Discord. was good, no problems there.
Griffonstone. Opens up whole new questions like if Griffonstone is in that bad of a condition then why was their a GRIFFON team in the games? The only way out of that is that there is another griffon kingdom out there. and why didn't Celestia notice what the heck happened to Griffonstone?

Princessw Spike, Well here's the issues. One if Twilight needs that sleep then why didn't Cadance or one of the other Princess put a SOUNDPROOF SPELL ON THE ROOM? Thus a nuke could go off and Twilight wouldn't wake from the noise. Also while I can see Celestia busy what the heck are Cadance and Luna doing? Couldn't they fill in for a few hours for Twilight to sleep. Then of course it's another bash Spike episode. the only suprising thing was that he didn't either A EAT the gem statue, or B grow from greed.
these writings had what a year or more to make stories and this is the best we get. half good, half bad to sort of okay? they are slipping real bad this season and they need to wake up. a good portion of their fans are adults so insulting intelligence is not a good thing here.
Season 5, in my opinion, has been fantastic. I don't care how Tanks was placed, honestly, it's still a good episode. A. Most Wanted was just boring, but Princess fucking sucked.
It being entirely HER OWN problem made it far more unique in my opinion.
Poor countries can still end up in the Olympics, and the Equestria Games are pony Olympics.
ADULTS ARE NOT THE MAIN FOCUS. IT IS A BLOODY KIDS SHOW. Certainly a good one, but still a kid's show. They can not up and fucking change into an adult's show!

Considering it's state I don't think they would be able to organize a team for Griffonstone and why would they considering the only thing Griffonstone Griffons are interested in is bits. so why would they form a team?
and Note the movies exist solely because of the older audience. SO they have to find the balance between not go over the girls originally targeted but not insult the older audience.

look considering the long break between season 4 and 5 I expected better quality then I am seeing this season. Even the shortened and rushed season three did better than this. Yes I know Rainbow Rocks was in there but not all of the writers were involved in that movie so the other writers had plenty of time to make some good ones and we have seen a couple. the rest just ugh. and of course the Spike episode again shows Spike not learning anything from previous episodes and they bash Spike of the head. Frankly they should just stop the Spike episodes. It hurts his character in the long run it seems. He's at his best being a supporter. Lesson Zero is a prime example of that.
Please allow me to give your readers my interpretation of griffon athletes at the Equestria Games.
Claim: After I read the Flight to the Finish, Rainbow Falls, and Equestria Games transcripts, I believe that all the athletes depicted in the Equestria Games episode are from the Equestrian nation that includes Griffon citizens.
Support: All the location references in these episodes are for Equestria. The athletes appear to be all from Equestria, as there are no references to nations outside of Equestria. For example, in the episode Flight to the Finish, Silver Spoon speaking to the CMC said, “Ms. Harshwhinny will never pick a Pegasus pony who can't fly to represent Ponyville in front of all of Equestria.” Notice that Silver Spoon said Equestria, a national sports event, not the entire world, like the Olympics.
Moreover, in the episode Princess Spike, Princess Luna said, “Welcome to the Grand Equestria Pony Summit!” While Princess Celestia said, “You delegates have traveled far and wide to represent your cities as we seek to celebrate and learn from all the unique places that make up our wonderful land of Equestria. At tonight's welcome reception, Princess Cadance will dedicate this beautiful friendship statue made up of gemstones from each of your home cities.” All this happened with a few griffons are in the audience and wearing convention badges. This is strong evidence that griffons are Equestrian citizens.

Conclusion: Therefore, I believe that these athlete Griffons are Equestria citizens and don’t represent Griffonstone or any nation outside of Equestria. Equestria Games are a national event and are not a multinational event like the real Olympics. But, Dave Polsky did miss an opportunity to include more species that just the ponies and griffons. Maybe, there just was not sufficient time or money to include more species in the games.
