Aren't E3 attendees supposed to be industry insiders? · 10:36pm Jun 16th, 2015

As you know, after the big conferences, the rest of E3 week is used for more in-depth gameplay demos on the show floor.

And every single year, gaming journalism sites post videos of these gameplay demos featuring players that don't have a clue what the fuck they're doing. I'm cringing pretty hard at some of this Halo 5 Warzone footage.

I guess they'll let anyone who buys a ticket be a part of the demos at E3. Really wish they wouldn't, seeing as people won't have much time to master the controls before the demos are over.

3155091 That's the thing, E3 isn't open to the public. Not anyone can buy a ticket. You have to be involved in the industry somehow (developer, publisher, manager of a game retail store, etc)

Being an industry insider doesn't make you good at video games.

For example, I work for Verizon Business. Most of the people who work with me have no clue how the phone network actually functions.

Well, Kotaku got told to shove off, so at least there's that.

Edit: Not sure if they couldn't show up to E3 at all, or if it was just the press conference. Either way, it's a slap in the face.
