How much time do you think passes between each episode? Looking at how the events in some unfold, some say it's the next day, where others say that many months can pass.
What are your thoughts on the elapsed time between each episode?

#where do you think the continuity lies?
I actually support the theory that all the seasons of 1-3 happen in the span of less than a year. This was actually confirmed in the episode "Tanks for the Memories" where Rainbow says that it's the "first winter [she'll] spend with Tank". My theory is that the story is told staggered throughout the series to show events unfold. For instance, season 1 brought us "Winter Wrap Up", but it wasn't until season 2 that we got "Hearth's Warming".
I support this, because the thought of the series being told in chronological order from episode to episode is kind of depressing. That would mean that Twilight would have been in Ponyville for over 7 years (counting the times seasons have changed for events) until she gets her princesshood. But what's most depressing about that is the CMC. That would mean that 7 years have passed and they hadn't gotten their Cutie Marks. Plus, if those 7 years have passed, they definitely would have grown up some instead of staying children into teenagehood (even if they started out as being just the age for school, they'd at least be close to teenagers and have grown some).

Plus we've only seen two galas. So either 1 year has passed or we haven't seen the others.
Keep in mind that cartoons dont necessarily have a timeline. The simpsons for example has been running for over 20 years without any time passing. Although I think mlp does have chronology.
I've got a thread over in Poniverse, trying to put the episodes in chronological order. The 1st 3 seasons probably took place over a few days less than 1 year. Hearth's Warming Eve is the only Winter episode.
Some one named Corpulent Brony counted the days in each episode & according to him, they used about 220 days out of 270 available. Very tight, but I'm working on it. There are some problems with it, though, & it's slow going.
IMO, season 4 took place over Summer & Season 5 late Autumn into Winter.
The episodes are NOT in chronological order. For instance, S1 E11 [Winter Wrap UP aired before S1 E13 Fall Weather Friends & that has to be wrong.

is this the line your referring to? If seasons 2-5 (gala is at end of season 1) are 1 year then that makes each season a little under 4 months. this puts that episode at about seven months from the next one. I know absolutely nothing about how long cloths take to make but that doesn't seem to out there for a hand made dress, particularly if rarity is only taking limited orders.
if its only one year, then the world isn't very stable. you have discord, the changelings, sombra, and tirek in under a year.
Over in Poniverse, I Asked Princess Twilight when Twilight's birthday was & the most precise answer I got was Mid Spring (IMO probably late April). Sweet & Elite takes place over T's birthday, so that is in Spring. In Ticket Master, Fluttershy is sucking up by doing some Spring Cleaning & T says "It's Autumn", so at least September. The Gala is on the 21st, so that puts it Oct or (IMO) Nov 21st or next Spring. (Fall Weather Friends being Sept 20 & 21)
Like I said, it's complicated. The fact that the writers are damn near as careless w details as Watson was w the details of Holmes' life doesn't make it any easier.
