Well, I'm about halfway through Unity's main questline, completed the DLC, and have reached the maximum level, so I think it's fair to give a review.

I think he is basing a lot of his opinion on the fandom on YouTube comments/ the internet opinion which isn't reflective of real people/ people offline. In other words, the real world.
That would be like if I said the people on 4 chan or Reddit or the other mass information spreaders were representative of everyone in real life. I hope that isn't true anyway because there are some dumb people on those sites.
People are always going to challenge what you say b/c that is what discussion is. So his point about pony fans not agreeing with what he is saying is kind of invalid.
And I have to disagree with his opinion that the show went downhill from the first two seasons. Honestly, I think the later seasons are a lot better. I went back and tried to watch season one and two again, and found that they lacked something in comparison to the latest seasons.
Well, that is just my two cents.

does he not know how a fandom works? not every fandom is born perfect and stays perfect forever... this fandom is like other ones but with its own style of how it does things...i personally like the show/fandom and think it has aged with grace a bit...its not perfect but hell its like he assumes that season 2 was the high point of the show...it was good but im likening season 5 better so far...

3141788 I actually think the fandom is better/ stronger now than when it first began.
To give you an example, when I first entered the fandom around season one, I was actually teased on a lot of pony websites, and even banned from one for not being an 'artist' or 'cool'.
(By the way I am an artist, they just said I wasn't for some reason.)
It made me really upset, as you can imagine, but never made me stop liking the show.
Later I met some really cool pony fans around season three where only the true fans were left and the hipster people had left by that time, so I found the community to be more welcoming.
But that is just my experience, and experience is different for everyone.
