    Still On Hiatus

Yeah, what I wrote last time still stands. So stop asking me when I'll be back on, everyone. I'll tell you when I'll be back.

    Hiatus

I’m going on hiatus because I have some personal business to take care of. I’ll make a big announcement when I’m back. Until then, you can message me but don’t expect an immediate response.

First Anniversary of ONAS! Also, currently in pain. · 12:23am May 31st, 2015

Okay, I know I just posted an update yesterday, but since then I’ve had several pretty important things happen, so bear with me.

The first and most joyful, today marks the first anniversary of my most popular story on FIMFiction, Of Night and Stone!
I remember when I first came up with the crossover pairing of Maud and Brooklyn. I had just begun rewatching Gargoyles—I’d seen the episodes as a kid but didn’t remember much about them—and I thought to myself, “Hey, since the gargoyles are made of stone, I wonder if Maud would like them?” And so on May 20, 2014, I created this comic.

It attracted a large amount of attention, so I began making more Gargoyles/MLP crossover fanart. But after a few days, I began thinking of continuing the adventures of Maud and Brooklyn. I originally planned to make more comics starring them, but that proved to be too difficult as I’m not particularly a good artist. So I decided on the next best option: a fanfiction.
On May 30, 2014, I submitted Of Night and Stone to FIMFiction.net. Three days later, on June 2, I posted chapter two, and discovered that it had been featured on the front page!

To this day, it remains my most liked story, and was my most viewed until I posted Spring Is in Bloom. Despite my lack of updates, it has retained its popularity and has even gained a few pieces of fanart!

All I can say is, thank you all for supporting this humble little fic for so long. I promise I will post a new chapter soon.

Now, onto business. First of all, my graduation went well yesterday. But it was WAY TOO LONG! I had to arrive there 45 minutes early, at 7:15, and the ceremony didn’t start until 8. And it must have lasted two and a half hours hours after that, because after having to stand for the national anthem, hearing tons of speeches, and giving out awards and honors to varying students, I think the actual handing out of diplomas only took up the last third of the ceremony. The entire time, I had to wear my cap and gown, as well as long pants and a button-down shirt underneath it, and it was 80° F weather and I wasn’t allowed to drink. I’m surprised I didn’t pass out of heat stroke! After I finally got out, the first place I went was the water fountain. And even then, I didn’t get to leave until 11 because of photo-taking and traffic backups afterwards. Well, I’m glad Dana and I are finally out now, so we can move on with our lives. Yay!

Second order of business: I know that my reviews, story updates, arts, etc. have taken a little while, but now that I’m out of school, I have promised that I am going to work on them. Only one problem: it’s hard to work on those things when you have been stung by a thousand hornets.
Yeah, this afternoon, I was feeling particularly happy. Only wearing a pair of shorts and some shoes, I stepped outside, ready to enjoy the beautiful day! Thing is, though, a few feet above the front door to my uncle’s house, some hornets had built a nest, and I was unaware of that. When I slammed the door shut, the force was enough to knock the nest down, where it landed right front of me. In a panic, the hornets all attacked me, and I fell to the ground, screaming and writhing in pain. Dana and my uncle had to run out and get me after they heard me, and both of them were stung too, but not as badly as I was.
My face, arms, legs and chest have been stung, and I’m still in a lot of pain. My body basically looks like I have chicken pox. So yeah, I’ll be out of commission for the next few days. But I promise, I’ll get to the two reviews I missed as soon as possible, as well as the other things.

As you can guess, this will make it take longer for me to write the next chapter of ONAS. But! Zeph and I have another project we are already finished with that I will be posting very soon. This story is called The Best of Both Worlds, and will take place in the same universe as SIIB and TAOM.
It will star Pipsqueak, Rumble, Scootaloo and Thunderlane, with my OC Black Olive in a supporting role. It will be mature in nature, similar to SIIB and TAOM. While I can’t give away many details of the plot at this time, I will say that it is four chapters long and only the fourth chapter will have any sex in it—the first three will be mostly safe to teen in rating. So all you fans of SIIB and TAOM, look forward to that.

I hope this serves as a sufficient, if not speedy, update for all of you!

This reminds me that Pinkie Pie in the latest episode was having a fun fling with a griffin statue saying that he was a charmer. Kind of funny when it comes to this idea.

Congratz on graduating, try sitting in a rodeo arena, outside in the ninety something degree heat, like I did last year. How fun. Sorry about the hornets, dude; I got stung in the ear by a bee when I was just 6.

My condolences on the whole thing with the hornets, man. :ajsleepy:

I really hate bees, wasps, and hornets :fluttershyouch:

3110679 Wow, spoilers! I haven't seen that episode yet! (Or the one before it--I haven't had time to write reviews for either.)

But what you're describing... yeah, it does kinda sound like they're ripping off me, doesn't it? Obviously, it wasn't intentional, but yeah.

3110712 Wow, in the ear! That must hurt. Yeah, my best friend was stung by a bee in the eyelid. He told me that it was swollen over for a few days after that. and he had to wear an eyepatch during that time.

3110810 Thanks. These are still itchy as fuck, and make it hard to fall asleep, but I'm sure they'll heal up in time.
