Hahahahahahahahahahahaha, and to think there were neigh-sayers about a Gilda redemption plot with this past "Meet the Family" chapter. They all must have loved today's episode where she rekindles her friendship with Rainbow, shows she's not really bad (just was having a really bad day), comes from a race of disadvantaged and poor people, and is willing to sacrifice something of extreme importance to save others.

:rainbowlaugh: Oh, this is just too perfect.

For those of you who did like the idea of Gilda redeeming herself, I'm glad the show made it canon for all of us, and thanks for not being "dweebs" :rainbowlaugh:

Hope everyone is doing well. I've recovered from Finals week at school and will be returning to writing real soon.

Well, she lost her bad New York accent along with her bad attitude. It's almost as if they decided her accent would ruin the whole plot to the story.

I was 'meh' about it. Curious Twilight would know next to nothing about griffons despite being a bookworm with a thirst for knowledge. She wrote a book for Dash on what to see and how to deal with the griffons...and she knew NOTHING ABOUT THEIR CURRENT HISTORY!!

How do you not know political and economic climates of your neighbors??

That made my eye twitch. Everything else was fine, but Twilight was friggin' ignorant. You think Princess stuff would include how to deal with other races on a diplomatic level.

3093163 That alongside the idol being literally right there. On a cliff, out in the middle of the open. How did no one ever spot that darn hunk of gold after the years it was lost? Did no one ever do the rope trick? :ajbemused:

Gilda episode really helped to flesh out the Griffon kingdom though, or at least how it was like until they left a new 'agent of friendship' there to try and fix things. That and so many new Griffon designs alongside the bit habit. Though I want to punch the griffon in the face for going, 'oh you're out of bits? here Rainbowdash, let me leave you here to die.' Lucky Pinkie came along, otherwise we'd be down one Element of Loyalty. :rainbowderp:

I loved that episode it's my favourite now……what? I like gilda and dash making-up

3093163 3093242 Never claimed the episode was perfect, I'm just glad it decided to try and flesh Gilda out like I thought was necessary in Meet the Family. :rainbowlaugh:
