Greetings, land of fun, colorful and often odd Pony fanfiction! After all these months, I've made my grand return with the grimdark Aethia, which finally explores the griffon lands within the My Little Pony Gen. 4 universe and shows how HUNTING-reliant such a predatory combination of HUNTING species happens to be! "HOW ORIGINAL!" you may find your brain shouting, as you pound that thumbs-down button after discovering that none of the Mane Six make an appearance and that every single character is an OC!
*Ahem.* In all seriousness, I felt the need to take a quick break from Witcher 3 and let anyone and everyone who's come to find my little profile here what my plans are for the (hopefully) not-so-distant future. Yes, I know that profile emblem looks like a Poke Ball, but I'm actually super super serious about this whole thing (it's actually the Didact's symbol from the Forerunner glyph system in the Halo series, which is indisputably the greatest sci-fi universe of all time; anyone who tries to argue against that fact is literally unquestionably wrong and should go poop out all of their Star Wars fanboyism into the mystical space toilet void, BECAUSE I SAID SO (that's a joke. I'm actually not an asshole. You can like whatever you want. I'll still love you as long as you don't try to force me to share your beliefs with snobby remarks. Please don't go and write a heated 140-character snippet about me on Twitter for people to bandwagon and circlejerk about)). My dream is to be a super special awesome writer who inspires people with works of magical emotional perfectional depth, like Vince Gilligan, or Greg Bear, or George R. R. Martin, or Dan Abnett, or Steve Harris and everyone else within the group of perfection that is Iron Maiden, or heck, even all those fellas on the MLP writing team who continue to produce some of the best work that the sad industry of cartoons has seen in years. Y'know, those kinds of guys.
Where was I going with that?
OH yiss. So, before 2014, I'd been mulling over the idea of entering the world of fanfiction for the purpose of honing my abilities as a writer for a big stepping stone in achieving my dream, and after reading that one story called Background Pony, which starts to fall apart in the second half, I decided to write and alternate ending. It was all thanks to some guy I used to talk to for the spark and recommendation of finally entering the world of fanfiction; I don't even talk to the guy anymore, because the much-hated-much-shunned disease of snobbery invaded his brain and led him to speak and argue on series's and matters that he didn't fully understand while telling me that I was wrong to enjoy things. I'm convinced he was some imaginary anomaly within a section of my brain who was trying to get me to chuck my hardcover copy of Halo: The Fall of Reach through the window. It was just so good that my mind simply couldn't handle the orgasmic geek-boner every time I looked at it on my shelf and created this anomaly to get rid of it. That's totally what happened. It's factual now because I wrote it down.
So yeah. Now I'm in the world of fanfiction, and I have all sorts of ideas planned out. I thought I'd get a rough schedule written down here, so that anyone and everyone that reads and enjoys my stories and eventually begins watching me (please watch me. It makes me feel important. It's fun to feel important) can know what to expect. As you can see by my account overlay thing, there are three main genres/labels/strombolis I'm going to be covering for now, although I can all but guarantee my concepts will wind up being much more varied. Three labels won't be enough. We'll see where the wind takes me, but for now, these are the stories that my mind is currently set on:
-The Applejuice Games (A juicy game of epic proportions takes place on Sweet Apple Acres when the Apple family gets an extra big harvest of apples. This is the story that I plan on writing next. Label: Silly stuff.)
-Untitled Luna Fic (Princess Celestia takes a day off to teach Luna something unexpected after her thousand-year absence. Label: Embrace simplicity.)
-Untitled OC unicorn fic (Takes place during the war between the alicorn princesses and Discord. Still in the very early planning stages; potential "epic" length. Label: Emotional journeys.)
-Return to Aethia (Sequel/continuation to the story I just put out. I'm expecting this to be my magnum opus, or my first one, at least. It's definitely going to be of "epic" length and has already gotten a lot of development both in my brain and the trusty journal. My plan is to increase my "audience" with fics about the show-characters before dropping this proverbial Fat Man on my account page. This is the story I'm most excited to write. Hell, since I write so freakin' much, I'm certain every single one of my fics are going to be of an "epic" length in some degree. Anyway, yeah. There ya have it. I hope all who see this blog are excited as I am for this undertaking of mine where I explore the pony psyche and try to find the much-guarded secret of creativity. Maybe I'll get a story or two featured in the Royal Canterlot Library along the way. That'd be cool.
