The Future for FlyingBrickAnimation? · 3:45am May 12th, 2015

Hey guys, it’s the last week of school for me! So I’d like to give you an update about life, future fics, art, and what I’ll do next.

Life: First of all, after we graduate I will be spending a lot less time online, and this will continue for a few months. Dana and I will be saving up our money, packing, and planning for our big move to Canada. We plan to be there by September, and once we’re there, it will take a little while to get settled into a normal schedule. Even then, I might not get as much time, as I’ll have to get a job somewhere, preferably one that fits my talents. But don’t worry, I’ll frequently give you updates, and will hopefully still release weekly reviews.

Of Night and Stone: Now my watchers who have followed me since May of last year may be wondering about the status of this fic, or if I’ll be doing something special, since its one-year anniversary is coming up soon. Well, I’ll definitely try to get something in there for that special occasion, as that was my first (and so far only) fic to ever get featured on the front page of FIMFiction.net, so it’s pretty important for me and deserves something special. I’ll probably introduce the other Pie sisters in an upcoming chapter, as well as their parents. Since I’ve unfortunately discovered that the canon Pie family episode probably won’t be happening this season (the show creators lied to me), I’ll just try to write them the best I can and hope that I get them somewhat accurate to what people expect.

Stone Cold Crazy: Many of you recall that last time I talked about anything related to ONAS, I mentioned Stone Cold Crazy, a clop spinoff fic that I was working on. Well, unfortunately, due to reasons of both timing and writer’s block, I was unable to begin work on that. I started the first chapter of it many times, but I was never able to continue it. So I just decided to scrap it for now and continue with ONAS. I may go on with it in the future, but I do not know.

Spring Is in Bloom: Well, my first clopfic that I actually finished has certainly gained an audience, and many people have asked me questions about the main character, Michael/Mitch, especially regarding his personality. I’ll tell you this much: if I have time, Zeph and I will try to write more stories with Mitch in them, and try to expand his character and backstory. With the success of SIIB, I’m not going to turn down the opportunity to expand the Michaelverse, as I’ve dubbed it; however, Zeph and I are also working on some other stories that, while taking place in the same universe, are not OC-centric.

The Amulet of Marea: This one is almost complete, and will star Soarin, Rainbow Dash, and Daring Do. The first half will consist of some action and a backstory. It will take place at a pool club with a… strange amulet, let’s say. Dana is writing this along with Zeph and I. We’re also writing this as part of Ebony Stallion’s “Fun in the Sun!” Contest.

Untitled Rumble and Pipsqueak Story: This one is still in the development stage, and I honestly can’t give away a lot of details about it. I’m still not sure if I want it to be clop yet! All I can say at this point is that it will be follow Rumble and Pipsqueak as best friends as they graduate from high school and they get into some craziness. I’ll tell you this, too: I’m looking forward to writing this with Zeph.

Ask Maudlyn: I was considering expanding that to its own Tumblr blog for a while, but I ultimately decided against it because of how infrequently I update it. I hope I can get to update it more often, though, but it’s not exactly easy to draw these characters.

Other fanart: I’ll give you the same answer for this as the last sentence of the last section: it’s not easy to draw these characters. I don’t even know if I can create a proper cover pic for The Amulet of Marea without screwing up, and if any of you can draw anthro better than I, I’d love it if you could volunteer to draw it (I’ll repay you somehow).
