Journey of the Core Update (Now With More Snarky Chapter Titles!)

So I lied. It has been three months since I created the blog about Journey of the Core, the long-promised sequel to the Hearth's Warming Special, and as it is, I have written only 6 chapters. On the bright side, all those chapters are quite long, so I have actually made pretty good progress. On the not-so-bright side, I have big plans for the first country they go to--the one I'm writing right now--and I expect to have to write several more chapters before I'm finished with the country and can begin posting them.

Once I post the story, I'll be releasing them after successively longer periods until there is a week between each chapter. That'll give me a good amount of time to write the next country, and it is likely that I'll already be done by the time I run out of backlog chapters. So you probably won't need to wait any longer than a week between countries--at least the first two.

Now, you ask, what is all this nonsense you're sprouting about countries? What are you talking about? Why are you throwing information at me without explaining the basis behind it?

There is a very simple answer behind that, and it is definitely not that I entirely forgot. No, not at all.

In this story, Queen Cor Cantae Amoris takes Luna, Discord, the Mane Seven, and the Crusaders on a field trip to all the countries in the world, because most of them know next to nothing about the other countries. They will also meet the divine(s) that rule over each country. I have a plethora of culture ideas, some of which are based off of real-world cultures. However, there (should be) an original spin to each. This story, just like both before, will be filled with world-building, and I wish know you'll like it.

So that people don't have to read the 50.000 words of backstory, all required information is going to be explained within the story, and I do believe I've fit it all in pretty well.

I'm planning to step up my writing game and try to get back to my originally 3-4k words per day speed, so I can get this out more quickly. But above all, quality over quantity, so it all depends. But here's hoping it shouldn't be too much longer before you finally get it!
