It would appear that a certain new fimfic group is trying to get a Thank (roast) Your First Follower Day started. So I thought I'd bite and go along with it, so without further adieu... The Myth, The Man, The Legendary...
(He's not actually old, in fact I'm older than he is.)
This hard working fellow here became my first follower after I saluted one of his stories with some 18 year old scotch. Yes, it's that easy to get this man's attention! But seriously though, Archonix is one of the great ones here on this site. I remember his drunken live streams while he sketched out art commissions, his bad shoulder giving him hell, and his complaining about hating life when he had to draw feathers. He's also a prominent background character in the almighty Seattle's Angels group. So while you may never have heard of him, he is certainly a man to follow! For just like the ancient fortune cookie fortold, A great man is followed by many other great men... (in bed).
Archonix is like that man on your block who protects his weed ridden lawn and shakes his cane at all the young'uns that seem so fascinated at trampling over it. (I was the one who taught him proper stick shaking technique!) He is also one of the core world builders for the infamous and notorious world of Xenophilia. (obviously NSFW, in case the name doesn't give it away...)
But enough of that! Two of his greatest works here on fimifc that I shall now take time to promote are...
Of the Valley This story has been featured on Equestria Daily and is so "feelzy"(my word, not his) that I feel it needs a disclaimer for it.

Guiding Light A beautifully written story about Derpy tragically being elevated to the status of Alicorn. If I recall correctly, it's one of the stories that he is most proud of, and I can't blame him. Be sure to give it a read!
