In light of recent events, I have decided that Aegis is the younger brother of Troubleshoes from the most recent episode.
Except Aegis is smaller. He's about midway between the size of Troubleshoes and Big Mac.

So what's Trouble Shoes up to?
Wouldn't do that if I were you, mate. This episode completely contradicted the message of Bloom and Gloom and just plain wasn't very good...
On the plus side, I've found something that may be useful in helping us visualise how big ponies are in comparison to humans.

3039999 Now that you mention it... yeah, Troubleshoes' character arc here kind of disturbed me. That said, I do like Troubleshoes for being a sad gentle giant.
3039757 I have absolutely no idea.

Boast Busters was a low quality episode with a horrible message as well (Have an ego? You deserve everything coming for ya). Yet we all know what became of that.
No reason Troubleshoes should get the shaft if Trixie didn't.

Make something up then. Your story.
3041195 The thing that bothers me most about Boast Busters was that it wasn't Trixie's fault. I mean, if I lie to people, I don't expect people I don't know to take it completely at face level and do something so catastrophically stupid that it could destroy the town, then force me to solve a mess that they themselves created.
Snips and Snails deserved all they got in Magic Duel.
