I'll be taking down Savage for a little while, like a few days give or take, reason? Well it's a bit complicated so I'll try to explain myself a bit. I should have left Savage as a one shot. That was a story that should have been left alone. The following was part of a message I sent to my editor and I feel it explains it better:
I'm thinking again about spitting it up. The reason for this is that now I'm feeling like I'm leaching off the popularity that The Encounter got. I feel like The Encounter is the only good chapter I've been able to write so far and the other two are more of ehh-ish quality. I keep looking back at the story and it looks less like a story and more like a bunch of scenarios put together if I compare it to other stories I've read. I would prefer much more prefer to have Encounter as a one shot, that I may expand if I have enough time, with a good amount of views and have the other scenarios as a different story even if it doesn't get as close as many views. I kinda feel like I'm cheating the all the new viewers. When they see the three chapters that the story has and when they finish reading the first one, they are expecting to see what happens after the AB incident only for them to be met with a wholly different thing but with the same dude.
I should have really split this thing from the beginning, it would have saved us all the mess that I made with the story.
I later explained to him the rest of the chapters that I had planned and how it would have taken me another four to six months, if I'm lucky, to finally get to the AB incident. I say lucky because things are getting complicated for me outside of fimfiction. So now what I'm planning to do is revert Encounter back to it came out originally, even if there weren't that many changes, and leave it that way. If I get the chance to write more about what happened next then I will, just probably not this year. The other chapters that I have written will be posted as separate story as well as the ones that I have planned. One will be where the encounters with Zecora and Twilight happened . The other will be another long one-shot that I think many will like that could also be expanded on later on.
I would say more but I'm out of time I'm very slow at writting blogs. Who knew writing fanfiction was so complicated...

That is not an unreasonable position, although you may want to ask a mod if it is possible to split the existing story up without taking it down to preserve the comments.
3029698 What do you mean? The story will stay with only the encounter chapter up. Or do you mean to keep the comments from chapters 2 and 3?
3030143 I think the mods can move the chapters to another story without taking them down which will bring the comments with them.

And it was far from bad really, his actions facing Twilight were pretty much justified, and in his delusional hunger, he didn't care much to observe.
That is unfortunate, I really liked where the story was going, and even if you feel that way, go knowing that we won't hate you for it, even if the story doesn't get expanded, it was a good one shot.

3158919 Oh well, that's good to know at least. I am also assuming there are no easy workarounds like copying the story and deleting some of the chapters from each instance because that would make a mess of the bookshelf system.
