The End of A New Kind of Party

It's finally here, the end of the TwiPie story, A New Kind of Party. It's been a long time, with lots of space and delays between some of the chapters.

The End of A 'Not So Simple' Simple Life

At long last, Simple Life has come to an end. It's been many years now and it's rather long. The couple certainly have come a long way, and have finally made progress. But this wasn't the original plan.

    Changes to "One Winter's Day"

So, as some pointed out about my story, One Winter's Day, it wasn't exactly 'done'. The story had mostly a beginning and sort of end, and not much of a middle.

I hadn't wanted it to be very long, afraid I would make it super long. Guess I made it too short instead. So now, I've added more and hopefully it feels better for everyone else too.

    Enjoy the holidays folks!

A New Kind of Party Seperating from Show Cannon

Meant to post this at the same time as the last New Kind of Party update, but this would be roughly where the story is definitely separating from the main cannon. It will deal with some of the episodes coming up (especially the ones I pointed out in one of my previous blogs) but this

    The Legend of the Everfree

How funny that a couple of months after I return from a summer long sleepaway camp in the woods on the mountains, my little pony comes out with their latest movie based on a camp. :rainbowlaugh:

Never ending line of excuses! · 12:14am Apr 21st, 2015

Greetings and salutations! Wolfie here!

My camp went really well. We do a community based camp for girls who are NOT in Girl Scouts so they get a tiny taste of it. It's held in an indoor location and is mostly lessons about the environment, science, art, including all girls, growing up strong by eating right. The past four camps I've helped with for the community was ones where I was the teacher (teaching about energy and environment) and saw over a hundred kids a day for five days straight. This time, I had a different kind of challenge. I was an adult in charge of 20 first graders, with another adult who used hard hand techniques (while I prefer soft hand techniques) and two teen helpers (who made Fluttershy seem social and actually vocal.... :ajbemused: I'm not kidding. One girl literally said only about five things that I could hear from half a room away during that entire week. Technically it was the last day when I managed to hear these five things. :applejackunsure:). I had never had to follow one large group around at camp before (not this kind of camp at least), it was interesting but odd.

I like to think of myself as the goofy kind of adult. I like to make kids laugh and act really silly to get them to do things, because I've asked nicely while being silly. But while leading the group (because I was the one in charge. The other adult was more than willing to let me lead), I felt like I had to be much more serious. I was suddenly the one who was 'controlling' how the girls behaving and focused. I felt like I said '(insert name) sit down' and 'buddy line! I need my buddy line! This isn't isn't a buddy line, it's a blob!'. I was afraid that the girls only saw me as their mean unit leader. At the last day, I just had to ask the girls if they thought I was 'ok' and they said they loved it (and me). :twilightblush: That was nice.

But then I head straight into Home Depot's Spring Black Friday event :ajbemused: And I've been busy and tired since. I'm a garden associate, I work with the mulch (loading it for people, sometimes for the entire day), lawn mowers, other garden stuff. It's just going crazy since the weather warmed up. I've come home every day smelling of mulch and being dirty from lifting that and soil for people, and hadn't bothered to work on anything for da ponies or bronies.

...... It also might not help that I re-read and caught up on Fairy Tail, the manga...... Whaaat? The other kids and some other friends were referencing it and reminded me how great it was. I'm a sucker for those nakama/friendship based anything. :ajsmug:

There is good news though! I had to draw a lot of ponies for the teen helpers (and a few of the adults too :pinkiehappy:) and you can see them here. Wanna request something? Go right ahead! Though I can't promise when they will be done. (yes, I'm working on both of yours, Shutup868 and Gwg :derpytongue2:).

ALSO! I've got a start on the next updates, and with my need to write back, it shouldn't be very extremely long before I get those finished.

I was also thinking of doing a type of blog where I mention the interesting things I've noticed while watching the show/reading the comics. Though so far my notes are about what I've seen in the show. So keep an eye out for blogs about interesting notes.

Thanks and I'll see you around!
