    Why are you here?

Logged into this page years later to find a recent comment on old work. That was a surprise. Who else is around?

    Ink On Life's Paper

[Note: ch3 of It's Not You They Fear has been edited and updated. 'Bout darn time.]

So I was gonna write some deep post about silver linings in pain and training hard for your struggles, but I realized the struggle for today was finishing those edits. Check it out if you have the time and boredom to do it. And here is an adorable picture of Luna in case you need to smile.

    Resurgence

Looking at the timestamps, it seems it's been nearly three months since I last posted on here. Life still has water on the ground and running down the sides of the streets, but the sun is shining once again.

    Forever and A Day

Well hello everyone, it sure has been a while. While I've put out a new chapter of The Long Road Home, this place hasn't seen a lot of other attention. I've been very busy trying not to leave any free time at all in my life to think.

    Steps

Once upon a time, a man much wiser than myself told me something. He said: 'We are what we do. The only difference between a writer and myself is that the writer picked up a pen or pulled up a keyboard, and wrote something.' I suppose that makes me many things. One of the easiest for me to see is running until I became a runner.

All Settled (Long Post) · 4:39am Apr 15th, 2015

So after lugging furniture up and down stairs, unpacking all in the matter of things, and adjusting to a new roomate in a new environment with a new job and a new................yes I'm moved in. AND I STILL CAN'T FIND MY F-SQUEE-NG TI-89 CALCULATOR.

Sorry about that. Nerd rage. (She looks about as happy as I feel.)

So I've started my new job, and boy it shows. I have to do all the 'new guy' things, from meeting a few dozen people I don't know to saying hi to my boss's boss's boss. At least I haven't had to make coffee runs yet. Also, I apparently merit my own desk, with my name on it. Not bad for only a little past two decades on this rock.

That kind of early rising then sitting still all day has forced me to adopt a new, stronger form of coffee. You might know it as 'Death Wish' which is the right coffee for those times in your life when you accidentally are playing on harder than hard mode. Yes, this is a Payday reference, of which my editor Dizzy and my fiance Ash keep me playing way too much.

And to cap things off, I get to see Nightwish and Sabaton on their USA tour. This time I will wear earplugs. Also, I was too lazy to dig up ponified Nightwish, so have a Sabaton. If you find Nightwish, leme know.

So where does that leave storytelling? Well, Dizzy and I sat down and got the first ten pages or so of TLRH chapter seven done. No promises how progress is gonna go on that, but probably a week or two left. We're still here...just that life has taken most of our time.

On a personal note, I really like feedback. I checked the story recently, and found that about forty people had favorited 'The Long Road Home' but I don't get much discussion on it. Few things excite me more than talking about my work. Like a character? Tell me. Hate a character? Tell me. Angry over something? Yell. Guess at where the story is going? Yes please. I feel like I'm 60k words into a massive monologue. Help me out here. This is a few hundred hours of work, so take a few seconds and drop me a line! I'd really appreciate it.
