    Why are you here?

Logged into this page years later to find a recent comment on old work. That was a surprise. Who else is around?

    Ink On Life's Paper

[Note: ch3 of It's Not You They Fear has been edited and updated. 'Bout darn time.]

So I was gonna write some deep post about silver linings in pain and training hard for your struggles, but I realized the struggle for today was finishing those edits. Check it out if you have the time and boredom to do it. And here is an adorable picture of Luna in case you need to smile.

    Resurgence

Looking at the timestamps, it seems it's been nearly three months since I last posted on here. Life still has water on the ground and running down the sides of the streets, but the sun is shining once again.

    Forever and A Day

Well hello everyone, it sure has been a while. While I've put out a new chapter of The Long Road Home, this place hasn't seen a lot of other attention. I've been very busy trying not to leave any free time at all in my life to think.

    Steps

Once upon a time, a man much wiser than myself told me something. He said: 'We are what we do. The only difference between a writer and myself is that the writer picked up a pen or pulled up a keyboard, and wrote something.' I suppose that makes me many things. One of the easiest for me to see is running until I became a runner.

Well hello everyone, it sure has been a while. While I've put out a new chapter of The Long Road Home, this place hasn't seen a lot of other attention. I've been very busy trying not to leave any free time at all in my life to think.

That's mostly because I've been cramming in everything that can possibly fit into my life*. Pity writing requires a lot of concentrated thought. First of all I got a cat. Figured I'd be well on my way to giving up my dreams of becoming a trophy husband and turning into an old cat guy, but then I had to content with the fact that being back on the dating market can cause sudden awkward fluctuations in life. That's been trying especially in the midst of trying to piece my banged up heart back together, but it has led to some truly happy moments.

Finally, I decided that the entire reason I've been writing pony-fiction has come to a head. After 250k words of pony fanfic, I've gone ahead and entered Nanowrimo this year, finally writing my own original work. Yes, that means humans. It's also taking most of my writing time, but that doesn't mean I plan on dropping this hobby entirely. While most of my smaller works are done, and I've pretty much given up on the prospect of really scoring a lot of readers here, I still do plan on finishing The Long Road Home.

I'll still be checking this page (after all, I follow a fair few stories), and so if you want to get ahold of me, feel free! Just know I'm going to be out a lot until the end of November with my other writing project, and working on self shipping!

Also, a note in reference to my blog about this time last year: I feel a lot less shy about going for a meal during veteran's day. This goes double when it's my own troops dragging me along. CHAIRS FOR THE CHAIR FORCE CHAIRS FOR THE THRONE!

Until next time!

*Working on the FoE story, writing two new songs, recording two new songs, writing music with my band, hitting the gym in addition to my usual distance running, leading the choir at during the weeknights at a new church, hitting a few new bars, making a cosplay, building my computer, and the ones mentioned above: dating fail-wins, becoming an old cat guy, and writing a new non-pony novel. Phew.
