Yes, I am still alive. Yes, I am aware it's been a long time since I updated. I was starting to write again a couple months ago, but then we found out my mom had breast cancer, and I've been dealing with that.
But we've been eating healthier and I've gotten a lot more energy now to deal with my job, so... depression will decrease and Vinyl and Octavia will continue! Yay. I know it's been a long wait. In the meantime, I've been updating old chapters to fix grammar errors (I'm sure I missed a few) and add new content. I've renovated through Chapter 6. I basically fixed sentences that were boring, added clarification on who was talking, tried to up the class of Octavia's speech. You probably won't notice the difference if you haven't read them recently, but I feel like they're a lot better now. I'm thinking of finishing the new chapter, then renovate some more old, then new, etc.
Mom starts chemo in 2 weeks, so depending on how she feels after that, I might start to lag behind in writing if things start going badly. But I'm optimistic.
Also: NEW SEASON YAY OMG VINYL AND OCTAVIA WERE SITTING NEXT TO EACH OTHER IN THE PREVIEW OMG WAT WAT IS HAPPENING AM I IN HEAVEN!?

Ponyville Duet is one of my favorite OctaScratch stories, and I'm glad to hear that it will continue, but I also understand if things start to slow down again. Sorry to hear about your mother too. I hope she gets better soon.
