Uncle Grandpa and Steven Universe Crossover...God Help us · 2:10am Apr 3rd, 2015
Okay, I'm a big fan of Steven Universe and I have nothing against Uncle Grandpa. But when I saw the commercial for the crossover I could only groan since CN's last crossover was awful. I couldn't see it because I was busy and couldn't see it but my brother did and told me about it. What he said made me want to bash my head against the wall. UG helped Steven to get to use his shield at will. The crossover is canon.

I wasn't exactly a big fan of this idea, especially since they hadn't had a crossover for CN shows in years, especially since it has to have an agreement between the two shows creators.
I know just when CN was getting my respect back thanks to Steven this happens. WHY WHY

I am sad to hear about this crossover. I am a HUGE fan of Steven Universe. It is one of the few shows that CN still has that is any good now but for them to pull this off it just hurt me deep on the inside. There are so many other things I would much rather see then this happen. Hell there are so many other shows I would rather see crossover with Steven Universe and that shitty incest themed show (I have never seen the show but just going by the title is enough to make your skin craw I mean the title is saying the guy married his daughter and he is now his Uncle Grampa). I am still riding the high from the great episode Jailbreak from Steven Universe and this just killed it big time .
2938656 After they canceled Young Justice and Green Lantern. I said done, they said they bring back Teen Titans, I raised an eyebrow and learned I was wrong to do so. Now I hope they don't reboot KND even though I want this so bad.
2938658 Yeah. Though that is not the case with Uncle Grandpa. He's basically a guy with powers like Discord that help kids solve their problems and teaching them life lessons by taking them on magical and wild adventures. Basically. It's not bad, but not as good as Steven Universe or Gravity Falls. Which I'm still waiting for a new episode!

2938682 I wouldn't go that far. I say that he's a guy who pushes cartoon physics to its limit. But I haven't seen the crossover yet so my feelings on the matter are neutral at best.

I saw the episode, and although I think that Uncle Grandpa is the dumbest thing ever, the episode is not that bad. Is it as good as the rest of the episodes? Debatable, most will say no, but overall, it's at least watchable. Does it get stupid at times? Yes some of Pearl's moments really push it. Are the crystal gems funny in everything they do? Mostly (R.I.P Pizza Steve). Was the last joke a really big nod to other past TV shows? Yes
Overall the episode doesn't really do anything except tell us something we already know about Steven's weapon. Sure, while it could have been reserved for a more plot related episode, at least some people will have a good chuckle, maybe a laugh.
So, while not the best episode, it can be considered okay, even good, but one thing I thought that a lot of people agree on is that it was at least funny at times, and being able to laugh at something is a lot more helpful when coming to accept it.

2938656 Also Billy and Mandy and the KND weren't actually the last crossovers on CN made. Ben Tennyson teamed up with Generator Rex, and about a year or so ago The Secret Saturdays
